Welarka, officially the Welarkan Federation, is a sovereign nation located on two different continents; North America and Asia. In North America the country stretches from Northern California to Alaska while in Asia it stretches is in Kamchatka to Hokkaido. Welarka is divided into twelve different states and one federal district. The country borders five different nations and Japan is right next to the Hokkaido state.
This land is very diverse with Russians, Japanese, and English-speakers all living in the same country.
It is the official nation of Battlepoint Evergreen.

Welarka is a permanent member of the Security Council of the United Nations and thus is a big player in international politics. Welarka is known for being an advocate for peace and anti-authoritarian.
Welarka has close ties with many nations around the world. Because of Welarkan history it is close allies with the United Kingdom and Canada, who are it's main trading partners. Relations with Japan have mostly healed since World War II and an open border policy is put in place on Hokkaido. Relations with the United States is pretty tense though.

The president of Welarka is elected every four years by direct election. The president can have an unlimited amount of terms. The current president of Welarka is Sara Griffins who took office on February 12th, 2016.

Welarkan Antarctic Territory[]
Welarka has a "piece of the Antarctic Pie" called Welarkan Antarctica which borders New Zealander territory to the east and unclaimed Antarctica (Marie Byrd Land) to the west. Welarka signed the Treaty of Antarctica.

Welarkan Institue of Space Research[]
The Welarkan Institute of Space Research, or WISR, is the Welarkan space program. Recently an interest in the cosmos has developed in the people and government of Welarka and WISR has been receiving lots of funding. WISR has the Welarkan Space Station and several satellites in orbit.
Lunar Program[]
The Welarkan Lunar Program aim is to establish a moon base on the moon. Currently, five different rovers have been sent to Luna and one is currently still on Luna taking samples. A manned mission is planned in November of 2017 to land on the moon. Plans for a moon base in the future is underway.
Flag[]
The Welarkan flag is known as the Lines of Liberty and was designed by a man named Fredrick Pattrick in 1851. The green symbolizes nature, the gold symbolizes wealth, and the white symbolizes justice.
Before the Lines of Liberty was designed the Welarkan indepedence movement used a modified version of the US flag. It was always planned that it was temporary
