Iszria (French: Iszréya)(/ˈɪzrijə, -rijæ/ ( listen)), officially the Republic of Iszria (/rɪˈpʌblɪk ʌv ˈɪzrijə, -rijæ/ ( listen)) is a sovereign independent state located in Africa that is bordered by the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the north-east, the Republic of Mali to the east, the Republic of Guinea to the south-east, and the Republic of Guinea-Bissau to the south. At the population of the country documented as 18,740,284 people, it is the 59th largest country on the planet in terms of population size. The population rank of Iszria is similar to that of the State of Romania.
One of the earliest forms of Iszria was the Jolof Empire, a empire that existed from 1350 to 1549. It was then dissolved and its vassal states became de facto or fully independent. This period was known as the "Kingdom of Jolof".
A few hundred years after the dissolution of the Jolof Empire, the Imamate of Futa Jallon slowly started to conquer the remaining vassal states of the former empire itself. That process was put to a stop by the French government, who colonized and annexed both the vassal states and the inamate, which formed the colony of French West Africa.
French West Africa lasted until the late 1950s, when it dissolved. The Mali Federation was one of the successors, which included present-day Senegal and Mali. The Mali Federation did not last long, however, when it was split apart by Senegalese nationalists in September 1960.
The formation of Iszria happened in 2022, when Gambia was put under distress by a corrupt leader. Due to this, Senegal took Gambia under its wing and formed Iszria. It then violently took the northern tip of Guinea-Bissau after Iszria was also elected a corrupt leader.
Its capital and largest city is Dakar, and similarly to the Republic of South Africa, it has many official languages, 9 to be exact, which include English, French, Portuguese, Wolof, Guinea-Bissau Creole, Mandinka, Fula, Serer, and Jola. It also has 8 regional languages, which also includes Balanta, Hassaniya Arabic, Jola-Fonyi, Manjak, Mankanya, Pulaar, Sere, and Soninke.
It is a member of the United Nations, and the African Union.
Name[]
Etymology[]
The name "Iszria" comes from the Swedish word "stilla", which means "to calm". The meaning of the name is a reference to the formation of Iszria, when Senegal took Gambia under its wing to calm its politics down. A word from the Swedish language was used as Sweden had colonized Senegal in 17th century, and the leader of Iszria admired Swedens democratic structure.

1300s/1500s[]
Jolof Empire[]
During the even between 1350 to 1549, the Jolof Empire was a empire located in north-western Iszria. It had 5 constituent states, which include Waalo, Kayor, Baol, Sine, and Saloum. As aforementioned, it dissolved in the year 1549 following the "Battle of Danki".
1500s/1700s[]
Kingdom of Jolof[]
After the dissolution of the Wolof, the vassal states of the former country gained de facto or total independence. This only lasted approximately 200 years though, when the Inamate of Futa Jallon was formed and conquered the states.
1800s[]
French West Africa[]
The conquest of the states also did not last long however, when the French government arrived in Africa and annexed both the states and the inamate. Both of the [former] countries then became the colony of French West Africa.

Mali Federation[]
In 1959, the Mali Federation gained independence. It consisted of modern-day Senegal and Mali. The Federation did not last long, when some aforementioned Senegalese nationalists broke away from the country in 1960.
2000s[]
Unification[]
In the year 2022, Gambia was elected under a hyper-nationalistic and corrupt leader. Due to this, the Senegalese government requested unification in order to chill the Gambian politics down. Gambian citizens ultimately yes, but the president did not allow it. Since Gambia was a global sensation at the time, the United Nations recognized Iszria as a sovereign state, but the hyper-nationalistic president did not. He was assasinated by Iszrian Forces soon after and Iszria officially became a sovereign state.
Iszrian-Bissau-Guinean War[]
After the unification of Iszria occured, another hyper-nationalistic and corrupt leader was announced president. Iszria then became hostile around its neighbors, including Guinea-Bassau, which it declared war on. Due to this, the United Nations military had to step in, but wasn't enough to completely stop Iszria. The United Nations then had no choice but to force Iszria to surrender and become a democratic republic. Iszria accepted the terms and the war ended with Iszria being relected a new president, which was Macky Sall.

The winner of the election will then take over office after a few months or right away after the election takes place.
