The City of La Rochelle is the largest and most populated city on the American East Coast, and the Aragan Union's biggest Navy stronghold. Located around modern day Philadelphia, the city is a major hub for travel in America. The Delaware Bay, commonly now called the Delaware Harbor, is where the majority of the Aragan Union's navy rests, and is also where most tourists come in from. La Rochelle is the biggest trading hub in North America, after Havana was abandoned. La Rochelle is also the third most populated city in the Aragan Union, tied with Berlin. La Rochelle is seen mostly as a place of friendly fire, with it being a commonplace for scuffles between players from all corners of the globe. The City of International Love has a population of 2, (200,000 in lore) tying it with Istra. Unlike Istra, La Rochelle has a more rustic design, but is currently undergoing construction on a modern section of the city, "Connelly Square". La Rochelle is extremely enviormentally friendly, with the buildings going with the flow of the Appalachian Hills, many parks, and the former center of the city being a expansive public farm.

La Rochelle follows Imperialism, with its own unique sect named after it, Rochelais Imperialism. The Rochelais have strict building laws, and only the king/head authority of the city can construct new buildings, or remodel old ones. Of all 3 branches of Imperialism, the Rochelais are the most diplomatic, and are the least likely to go to war. They have a strong sense for shipbuilding and any employment in the Naval field, as La Rochelle(City) has been the central Naval hub for both the Aragan Union and the Lapanian Kingdom at its highest peak. The Rochelais have a strong national identity, and even when not under homerule, have autonomy.

La Rochelle is the transportation center of the Americas. It is the home to Pan-Am Railroad, and the founder of said company (which it now operates with Hyperion). La Rochelle is the closest city to European metropolis' like Vasque, Lyvonis, and Istra. It is also said that there were many tunnels built north of the city, under the Atlantic, connecting the North East USA to the United Kingdom and Norway.

La Rochelle is run under a Constitutional Monarchy, even though it can be classified as a Nationalist Monarchy. This also may have to do with the strong national identity withing the culture. It is neutral in all affairs, and as a result is the place of many peace talks and conferences. La Rochelle has only been in 3 wars from EW3 to EW4, making it the most peaceful nation.
