Turns[]

Turn VI: 300 AD - 325 AD[]

KdM300-325A

Events & Great People[]

  • Greek Transcriptions: The Codex Vaticanus Graecus 1209 and Codex Sinaiticus, manuscripts of the Bible, are written in Greek.
  • San Marinus: Saint Marinus of Rab founds an independent monastic community on Monte Titano.
  • Occult Works: Iamblichus, a Neoplatonic philosopher, writes De Mysteriis Aegyptiorum, a treatise on magic and the occult.
  • Latin Translations: Calcidius translates Plato into Latin.
  • Bornean Civilizations: Several kingdoms are founded on Borneo to take advantage of trade in the area.
  • Gojoseon Campaigns: Gojoseon is reformed as Emperor Jin Jeongchi begins a series of expeditions further north to unify to Korean peoples. Yan follows suite, a sign of the increasing influence on the former Yang state.
  • The Alagadda Affair: The Shapurid Dynasty proposes an exchange of land to the Roman Empire, to which they look favourably upon. This is presented in the current map and is subject to change by Rome until the next turn.

NPC Turns[]

  • Kushan: They invade and annex territories from Saka.
  • Teotihuacan: They break away from Maya.
  • Qata: They surrender to Muscat.
  • Saba: They conquer coastal provinces of the Meroese City States.
  • Galatoi: They begin expansion and accelerated development as contact is established between them and the RAR of Agousta, to which they intend to establish diplomatic relations with.
  • RARs of Valencia and Atlas: They are slightly perturbed by the dissent of Agousta, and try to convince them to not revolt when Rome is at the verge of an eastwards expansion.

Kingdom of Latgalia[]

  • Government: Elective monarchy with ten of the wealthiest men in Rigas and the current king being able to vote for the next ruler.
    • Kings: Linarts Vecumnieks (294-302), Karps Mucenieks (302-).
  • Economy: Our economy is primarily centered around trade and agriculture but even more trade posts have been made upstream on the Daugava under the reign of both Leo and Linarts, continuing our economic growth.

    • Nation: We begin to fully focus on influencing tribes just west of us (shown on the map) even starting to settle some of our citizens in the land with the agreement of some of the native tribes.
  • Events
    • Reign of Linarts: After the death of Leo, Linarts was elected in 294 as a moderate candidate, during the first six years of his reign, he improved the economy by improving trade after building new ships to trade by sea along with ships to protect the merchant ships. He later died due to disease in 302 without being able to accomplish much more.
    • Reign of Karps: Like Linarts, Karps was elected as a moderate candidate between the council. As king, Karps expanded the council of electors to 15, expanding both the new navy, was heavily influenced by the new mother cult and encouraged it vigorously, along with that he also limited the power of the king, by allowing the 15 people in the council to propose laws that the king could pass or veto. Along with this he helped set up a new trade base on the island of Saaremaa.
    • Mother Cult: In 310, the most influential priest came to the king claiming that both him and his wife had recieved a vision from the goddess of nature, Vezla, where the goddess said the other deities were planning on abandoning the Latgalians along with showing images of great famines, droughts, and war. The king later dismissed the preist but, in 317, a massive drought came but after the priest convinced Karps to offer a sacrifice of the remaining crops to Vezla, the drought suddenly ended, after this miracle, some of the populous abandoned the other gods and formed a new religion centered around Vezla, called the "Mother Cult."

Umoric Confederation[]

KDM Umor Daevites 4
  • Government: A tribal confederation, comprising of many families, although there are high priestesses and the matriarch are trying to actively revive ancient 'Daevite Confederation' for a new era within Daevite history. This was slowly being achieved with more people being enslaved, integrated as Daevites and a rise in population in general.
  • Matriarchs:
    • Vas (293 AD-320 AD)
    • Thyta (320 AD-present)
  • Military: The military here is predominantly men (although female sacrificers might be seen as they are priestesses too) and since they are nomadic, the military tends to be larger, focused on cavalry and much flexible than organised armies of Rome or of former China.
    • 1600 horse archers
    • 1000 horsemen/cavalry (comprised of spears, rarely long swords and daggers)
    • 250 melee soldiers (comprised of spears, rarely long swords and daggers)
    • 150 foot archers
    • 200 sacrificers
  • Economy: The economy relies on basic subsidence and resources around the region. Agriculture is minimal and since they have started to move towards a nomadic lifestyle, livestock is now predominant in keeping people fed, along with many tribes. Plundering and raiding is seen as increasing the value of Umor's economy. Trading with the south, perhaps to the west and east is still seen, but they have being largely minimised.
  • Demographics:
    • Population: 41,000 (incl. 2,600 slaves that were abducted from villages or from local tribes)
    • Religion: 93% Blood Gods, 2% Astryianism, 5% Other
    • Culture: 93% Daevite, 7% Other
  • Events:
    • The Migration: The second final push to move close to the western kingdom of Tistu and 'permanently' settle there, which this push would be done under matriarch Vas. Thyta hopes to finally settle around the boundaries of Tistu and destroy this long ancient kingdom that lasted for approximately 700 to 900 years, which had evolved from the ancient Yin Dynasty (perhaps? they were Chinese nomads many years ago) and mixed with many local tribes, resulting in a form of a mixed race with both Asiatic and European ancestry.
    • The Cause of Destruction: Hundreds of horsemen and horse archers begin to plunder Tistu towns and villages, ransacking and devastating villages while towns were plundered of treasure and some of their men. No longer focused on Scythia, which they have been left alone for a while now, there was a cause for destruction waiting for them. As the Umor continue to move to the west, Tistu could see a full-scale invasion of the Umoric Confederation (formerly the Umor Tribal Confederation) under a united matriarch who sought to form an empire and make their second chapter within the book of the history of Daevites.
    • Astyrianism: Astryianism was founded among few slaves out of coincidence in the early 4th century AD (reported by some local Roman writers in the south). They slowly abandoned their old religion that was imposed on them when they were children or were abducted to work immediately and not sacrificed by priestesses. Astryianism is a schism to the pagan faith of the Daevites, it borrows elements of Daevite traditions, but far moderate than the Daevite beliefs and values could ever be. That influenced a majority of beliefs that many of the slaves were held and that influence brought them into one faith, no longer separated by multiple ones. There is no sacrifice to it, but they believe that violence is a way out of the 'problem'. This could become a threat and that slaves could revolt using this faith by refusing to work and migrate as far away from their nightmares, the Umoric Confederation. Matriarch Mayta would allow her loyal chieftesses and high priestesses to observe behaviour among other priestesses to prevent Astyrianism from 'growing out of hand.' This could be seen as another incarnation of the ancient Strain worshippers in Japan about 3,500 years ago, but this time they are derived from Daevite beliefs.
    • Rome, Rome: The Umor encounter the Romans during scouting in the northern mountains. However in order not to make it seem obvious that the Umor are plundering northern villages, they leave them alone (for now), hoping to not make any 'aggressive' actions that could lead to them being backfired. (I'll become aggressive by 400 - 410 AD to Rome, just a note)

Yamato to Izumo no Toitsu Kokoku (United Kingdoms of Yamato and Izumo)[]

  • Government: Union of Monarchies, with exception for Ainu Tohoku (Democratic Tribalism)
    • Mikado of Yamato: Empress Himiko Goban-me (283 AD - 311 AD), succeeded by Empress Himiko Rokuban-me (312 AD onwards, born 299 AD)
    • Mikado of Izumo: Empress Dakentsu-sha, 'Kechii' ('Uniter', 291 AD - 311 AD), suceeded by Empress Hirobito no Kyuseishu ('Saviour of the People', 312 AD onwards, born 293 AD)
    • Economy: With no end to the Northern Expansion doctrine and the Izumo Mikado's southward expansion, the regional economy booms, following the massive increase in territory for Izumo and Tohoku. Similarly, the economic advantage of Yamato has begun to stagnate as the Ainu Tohoku State attracts labourers and artisans for better working conditions, while Izumo's economy becomes war-oriented. Trade continues to increase with Gojoseon.
    • Capital: Yamatai-koku (Consolidated capital)(Present-day Sakurai, Nara), Edo (Yamato), Kioku (Izumo), Umienomon (OTL Chiba)(Ainu Tohoku)
    • Demographics:

      • Religion: Shinto (Yamato, Izumo) Non-mandated (Tohoku)

Respectively, they consist of 4,300 men, 5,600 men, 19,600 men, and a combined 29,500-man strong force. An selective draft is in force in Izumo for soldiers. As Izumo is individually at war with Kibi, Yamato commits parts of the Binsho-Eisei-hei to Izumo, while Tohoku sends a symbolic force.
    • Wars/Conflicts: Following a minor incident at the Izumo-Kibi Northern coastal border, Empress Hirobito no Kyuseishu declares war on Kibi, the Izumo Army immediately occupying Naruto and its surrounding territories. A coastal force of 6,500 is left behind to commit to defence of Izumo, while the remaining 13,100 are sent to Naruto (7,400 men) and advance along the Northern coast of Kibi (5,800 men).
    • Diplomacy:
      • Kibi (As outlined by Izumo): We demand that Kibi surrender and become part of the United Kingdom immediately. Otherwise, we will simply raid Kibi settlements and annex Kibi persons into Izumo as we please.
      • Kibi (secretly)(As outlined by Yamato and Tohoku): We wish for the war to end as soon as possible. If possible, should our Kibi friends be able to accept this, we wish for Kibi to join the Union. It will be granted a high level of autonomy and no territory will be lost. Please answer quickly.
      • Gojoseon: We recognise Gojoseon's lordship over the Korean peoples and the former Yang nations which have joined them. We wish for our nations to remain at peace and for our relationship to remain relatively productive; and we thus offer Hime Ibara of Yamato for adoption by the Emperor of Gojoseon, Jin Jeongchi, as a symbol of good faith.
      • Ryukyu, Nakano, Hayato: We wish to avoid any future tensions such as what is currently occurring with Kibi. Hence, we will now allow merchants and peoples of all your nations to freely travel to and from Yamato as if it was your own countries; in exchange, we hope for similar concessions.

  • Diplomacy:
  • Rome: We accept your help to expand

Gerrhan Merchant Republic []

  • Government:
    • The Roman Question: The weird situation in which land was exchanged with the Romans by our allies puzzles us. Our entire army is on standby in case of a war situation, and our horses are all prepared for a battle. We are unsure of what is to come of this situation. We send a diplomatic delegation to settle in Mari so any decision quickly arrives at our nation. A similar delegation is sent to Nineveh. Our troops are taking extensive training recently to make sure we aren't taken off guard.
    • Emergency Troop Drafting: Uncertainty is the mother of all conflicts. Right now, on our hands exists a situation of uncertainty. It looms across the whole region, across all our nations. Therefore, in the case of a potential conflict, we are drafting more troops to be prepared.
    • Spice Trade: Our policy of friendliness with all Indian nations continue, with more and more Bahris being sent to the coast-lines for trade. With Rome coming so close to us, we have access to their markets, which betters our trade situation. We sell largely valued Roman, Aksumite and Judean goods for spices. We ramp up our diplomatic efforts, and also give them tales of our mercenaries which aren't neccessarily untrue.
    • Educationary Zeal: With the new focus on introducing new weaponry and research, it has become important to establish the grounds for greater education. Increasingly, the state is building more libraries, copying those books into all the libraries so people can read more, increasing the number of people who research for us. We also start encouraging literacy.
    • Military Structure Reform: Our armies in Gerrha typically have been small groups named after the city they were raised in. As a larger nation, with a greater army, our armies are to be restructured. We shall establish 2 Sipahs, of 24,100 troops each, with the rest of our forces in a raiding party for disrupting enemy lines. 10,000 troops are on Amphibious standby, to deploy by sea as soon as war breaks out.
    • Infrastructure Development: Once again we focus on our infrastructure. We build fortifications in most of the cities, and developing the docks in Grane, a new city built up in our nation (Place of modern day Kuwait). This city is our port of entrance to Assyria. We also develop the ports in Ibri, as it is closer to the Indian Ocean. These ports are designed to recieve many ships, as well as make many ships.
  • Economy: With Assyria under our control, a part of the fertile cresent has come under our control. The fertile soils are great for farming, which makes sure our previously Desert nation now has food surplus. This makes sure we can trade food, which we aim to trade with the Adnanites, who have less stable food sources, for their dependency on us. The food surplus also means we have more people that can start doing other things instead of farming.

  • Military Operations and Events
    • The Spice Trade:
      • Cosying up to the Guptas: We continue sending many ships to the Guptas, and making our trade a significant part of their economy, so much as to develop a closer relationship with them. We plan to ask them to lease a port, maybe a port city, to develop greater trade, but that is a future plan.
    • The Adnanite Expansion:
      • Dependency: We aim to make the adnanites dependent on us, so they have no option but to join our nation. We establish a trade city smack dab in Adnanite land, called Adnan. The city is built with the approval of the Adnanite Chief in the area. The city is constantly supplied with trade material provided from the nearest city. The supply includes food and weaponry, which we sell to the Adnanite tribes that come over. We buy local Adnanite productions, which are exquisite, and sell well in the Markets of Rome and India.
      • Plan of Action: We plan to make the Adnanites dependent enough on us, as far as to effectively be part of our nation.
    • New Military Troops:
      • Gerrhan Reformed Infantry: The Gerrhan Reformed Infantry is a new style of Infantry developed by our nation for Quality Purposes. The Gerrhan Reformed Infantry are heavily armoured swordsmen with Large Shields. However, each of these troops carry 5 javelins with them, allowing them to use ranged attacks, while also being a heavy melee infantry.
      • Gerrhan Reformed Cavalry: The Gerrhan Reformed Cavalry are heavily armoured axe men with a round shield on a horse. Like the Infantry version of them, they have javelins as well as their axes.
      • Engineer Corps: These are builders that maintain polybolos and ballistae and are specialised in building everything from siege towers to forts.
      • Looting Cavalry: Looting Cavalry are a medium armoured cavalry with round shields and swords. They are well-versed as a ground force and have a semi-capability to develop fortifications. They are designed to loot villages and hold villages in case an enemy attacks and ground forces are required.
      • Torch Cavalry: These are cavalry, lightly armoured, with a basic sword, and more importantly, torches. They scorch things. They also have 2 Javelins, just in case.
      • Light Cavalries: Lightly armoured, really fast cavalry. They use their respective weapons.
    • Horn of Africa Expedition:
      • Joining the Omanis: The Omanis have spent a while surveying the coast of East Africa. As their ally we get quite a bit of knowledge, and decide to check by ourselves.
      • The Army of the Gulf: Finding an uninhabited region of this area must be difficult. We have no idea whats on this land. For now, we send the Army of the Gulf, with regular supply, to build a fort, just a fort, on this new land. This is just so we have a base of operations for our scouts. The army of the Gulf is to stay there for the time being.
    • Religious Turmoil:
      • Zoroastrianism: The Persians are believers in Zoroastrianism, a monotheistic religion spread by Zoroaster. Bordering Persia means that our nation of unorganised pagans are being influenced quite dramatically by the religion. A lot of our people are being converted, luckily we have a lot of people to go through.
      • Assyrian Religion: The Assyrians in our nation mostly follow the Assyrian religion. Being a large portion of our nation means they have a large following.
      • Christianity: We are close to Judea which is the Birthplace of Christianity, so the number of Christians in our country is slowly increasing. However, it is a very slow increase, mainly within the Assyrian population.
      • Overall Situation: While the situation hasn't boiled over yet, the growing influence of the variety of religions is getting a bit out of hand. For now, there is no conflict... For Now.
  • Research:
    • Research into better weapons: Javelins are a great success, they are light enough to be carried by our melee infantry, in multiples, and by dedicated javelineers in their dozens. We want to build on this success, make the javelins better by testing it, seeing if certain designs are better, certain styles are better, certain ideas are better.
    • The Wind Ship: The Bahris have proven useful for trade with India, less of them are getting lost or sunk. However, the size of the Bahris are a limiting factor. We start developing larger ones, the "Indawis".
    • Elamines: Glass is a great discovery, really useful. However, we have seen bright spots when certain types of glass are placed in the sun or light. We are naming whatever we make Elamines, after Elam where a lot of glass tubes were found (Not part of the Research Agreement with Muscat)
  • Diplomacy:
    • Rome: We will commit a Sipah for your expansion, as long as you promise not to attack us, or our allies for the next 50 years and give us Mari.
    • Gupta: Alliance?
    • Muscat Oman: We can aid you with our Raiding force if you need, for the attack of Suraban. Unfortunetly, we have to withdraw our 4000 troops because of army reforms and stuff.
    • Shapurids: We recommend you attack Bactria, we'd aid you if you want
    • Adnanites: Please join our nation (Side, you didn't assimilate them last turn, please add that up)

Roman Empire[]

  • Government: Imperial Dynasty. Absolute Monarchy.
    • Ruler (Emperor): Diocletian (284 CE - 305 CE), Constantine (306 CE - Present)
  • Economy: Roman coinage. Based around trade regarding farming, fishing, mining, and various other things. Major hubs around the Empire help provides for this. being at peace for centuries has allowed the Romans to slowly build their vast treasury (although inflation is also a problem).
  • Capital: Rome
    • Demographics:
    • Population: ~75 Million. 25% Latin, 20% Greek, 15% Celtic, 15% German, 25% Other.
    • Religion: Pagan 30% (mostly cities), Christian 55% (mostly countryside), Other 15% (cities/countryside).
  • Military: The Roman military boasts one of the largest and most efficient militaries in history. The library of Alexandria never burned down, allowing the Romans to learn and copy important military knowledge that would've been lost. Their armor is heavy, and almost impenetrable at close range, their formations (especially fast cavalry through selective breeding, 500 per legion) has allowed them to keep up with any army. Their vast population, roughly half of which are men and a large percentage of which is fit for service, allows their numbers to be filled quickly. Consolidation and border disputes with local tribes in the past still allowed veterans to be produced despite being relatively at peace for centuries. PIONEERS are a new breed of Roman troops, mostly from autonomous regions that came into the empire proper, these are survivalists and adventurers from rough travels outside of the Empire that joined Roman military and separated from the rest of the pack due to their more loose nature. They mainly guard caravans and other merchants, but they are loose and ragtag enough to infiltrate enemy lines.
    • Soldiers: STANDING: 330,000+. 40 Legions, 6000 men each (240,000). 20 Auxiliary legions, 4000 men each (80,000), mercenaries/pioneers: 10,000.
  • Wars and Conflicts:
    • Roman Expedition (280 to present): After the exchange of land. Rome prepares for its next task of invading Scythia by turn 325-350 (pretty much spending several decades consolidating). Rome prepares 5 new legions to be trained in the newly acquired territory, to help inspire loyalty in the population and propaganda value of having legions representing them. They spend this interval consolidating territory. They sent 10 legions and 5 Auxilliary units (total 80,000), not including allies, to the Northern Persian territory in preparation, adding onto the existing 5 new "Persian" legions there.
  • Diplomacy:
    • Gerrha We have offered you Mari as an alternative to losing Nineveh, but it was denied. Us losing Nineveh, with Shapurids and you exchanging land for it and several other cities, were enough as you had originally asked for. How about this; You can commit troops with us, but you will need to be attached us for the duration. In exchange; we promise to not attack you within 200 years but you'll need to promise the same as this would be considered trust
    • Scythia: We wish for your southern territories in our journey Eastward. Please do so, to avoid complications.
    • Frisia: We ask for you to ask permission before moving past our borders next time.
  • Events:
    • Absorbing Irminonics (Munichians) and Esceosians: Encouraged by their autonomous regions' encouragement local tribes into the Empire. The Romans assist the Westrians in territorial expansion into Irminonics and Esceoians if they want.
    • Succession crisis: Following the death of Diocletian, he was left with no heirs. After a brief (and intense) debate, the successor was chosen to be Constantine.

Turn VII: 325 AD - 350 AD[]

KdM325-350A

Events & Great People[]

  • Meroese Collapse: The Meroese City States suffer a succession crisis, followed by the division of the nation into the hands of Aegyptos, Saba and Aksum. A bleak reminder of the consequences of instability.
  • Indian Powerhouses: Kushan and Gupta begin a struggle to assert dominance over the Indian subcontinent by invading Goriwala and Saka respectively.
  • Malayan Reunification: Kedah and Pahang both claim inheritance of the Malayan Peninsula, and begin carrying out the necessary steps of invading their neighbours to achieve this.
  • North American Cultural Spring: The Pueblo, Sioux, Chinook and Salish cultures spring up in North America. The Caddo Tribal Confederation forms out of Choctaw.
  • East European Explosion: Following in Latgalia’s steps, multiple Eastern European nations such as Vesnia and Venetii begin expanding along coastlines and rivers to gain more influence over trade in the region.

NPC Turns []

  • Kibi: Most of the monarchy accepts the offer, however Prince Izuriya Midoku leads a faction of the nation that does not intend to be in the same union as Izumo.
  • Iwami: They demand for Yamato to stop supporting the barbaric actions of Izumo for the return of favourable relations. Otherwise, they remain at war.
  • Valencia: They decline for a few reasons: the decision of unifying autonomous provinces lies under Roman jurisdiction; they do not want to be associated with dissenters to the Roman Empire; they are as culturally similar as Britannia is to Gaul.
  • Suraban: While wary of Muscat-Oman, they eventually agree to cooperate with them.
  • Ryukyu, Nakano and Hayato: They appreciate the kind gesture by Yamato and return the favour equally.
  • Gupta: They gladly accept Gerrha’s offer.
  • Shapurids: They decide to take up Gerrha’s proposal, and declare war on Bactria towards the end of the 340s.
  • Scythia: They reluctantly accept Roman demands and cede their southern territories including Hecatolympus and the Scythian-Bactrian border.
  • Bactria: They immediately invade Roman Scythia and Scythia proper in a pre-emptive strike, pushing Rome back just before Hecatolympus.

Umoric Confederation[]

KDM Umor Daevites 5
  • Government: A tribal confederation, comprising of many families, although there are high priestesses and the matriarch are trying to actively revive ancient 'Daevite Confederation' for a new era within Daevite history. Many in the tribal council are confident that they could take the title of the Daevite Confederation or even an empire soon during the process of plundering Tistu.
    • Matriarchs:
    • Thyta (320 AD-327 AD)
    • Pshean (327 AD-330 AD)
    • Midu (330 AD-present)
  • Military (idk if OP, but this is going to impact the next century): The military here is predominantly men (although female sacrificers might be seen as they are priestesses too) and since they are nomadic, the military tends to be larger, focused on cavalry and much flexible than organised armies of Rome or of former China.
    • 4000 horse archers
    • 3000 horsemen/cavalry (comprised of spears, rarely long swords and daggers)
    • 1500 melee soldiers (comprised of spears, rarely long swords and daggers)
    • 1000 foot archers
    • 250 sacrificers
    • Siege equipment such as ladders, battering rams and siege towers
    • Few quickly built catapults (their accuracy doesn't go well)
  • Economy: The economy relies on basic subsidence and resources around the region. With the sacking of Tistu villages and towns, along with the occupation, agriculture is being revived again, but for many of the Daevites, livestock is still predominant. No trade is observed from in and out of the Umoric Confederation, largely because of the current state, which is basically destroying everything in one path.
  • Demographics: Though the population of Daevites quickly became a minority (apart from men who want to spread their genes, although the term gene did not exist then, it was a way to 'fasten the process of populating' further down the line by abducting non-Daevite women and trying to fertilise them), the Daevites have the most power and control over the Tistu kingdom itself very soon.
    • Population: 309,000 (102,000 are of Daevite or half-Daevite [meaning those that were born from a Daevite father usually] descent, 150,000 are non-Daevites which are not considered slaves but forced to submit and 57,000 slaves)
    • Religion: 43% Blood Gods, 7% Astryianism, 50% Other
    • Culture: 33% Daevite, 60% Tistuic (probably Sino-European since 1st century AD), 7% Other
  • Events:
    • The Migration: The Umor finally settle around modern Kuban, where they would begin to build up makeshift settlements out of huts across the steppes and prepare the great course of a new Daevite Empire. However it it is not always met with invincibility, as two leaders during the 320s AD had existed living in a short period of time before high priestess Midu took over and finally consolidated centralisation and calls for the Daevites to 'proliferate through the impregnation of non-Daevite women' by abducting them as slaves.
    • Astryianism: The religion of Astryianism spread with every slave and non-Daevite civilian who don't like the brutalities of the Daevite culture, but are influenced by that as a way 'to free themselves' from the oppression. Slave rebellion might be near impossible with every priestess and warrior watching upon every slave they take, but there could be one slipping by.
    • The Scourge of Daevites: On 333 AD, the thousands of Daevite horse archers and cavalry have began to ransack multiple Tistu villages. Much of the Tistu soldiers are unaware of these new tactics that they've seen, even though they might've interacted with the Bonra who are primarily nomadic, an attack by nomadic people is something that they've never seen since perhaps the Yin-Tistu War that had persisted. As a result, thousands that were part of the Tistu army were slaughtered to death or are rounded up to be sacrificed in a Daevite traditional ritual to purify their bodies to their own gods. Those who resisted are to be sacrificed or to be mercilessly killed. Non-Daevite women are abducted and are forced into sex slavery with many Daevite warriors, who they would try to raise Daevite children in exchange to obtain more land for himself or a higher position. Villages were set on fire - now forgotten, towns were ransacked - now devastated and cities were ruined - now abandoned. Thousands fled by boat to the Roman Empire or any direction, but many don't seem to care. By 348 AD, they have reached the capital city of the Tistu Kingdom, where their main goal is to raze the capital to the ground into a small town again, to terrorise them with fear so they will not rebel at any cost.

Mayan Empire:[]

  • Government: A league of independent city states ruled by heredity kings and priests.
    • Ruler: No central ruler.
  • Economy: The Mayan economy is fully based around agricultural trade between the city states through an advanced trade network that connects all the city states together along with trading with other countries on our border.
  • Capital: Tikal.
  • Demographics
    • Population: 511,307 (95% Mayan, 5% other)
    • Religion: 99% Mayan, 1% Other
  • Mayan Military: While we have no standing army, when at war, we can levy about 4% of our population. Also, our current technology limits us just to melee weapons such as spears and clubs.
    • Foot Soldiers: 20,452
  • Wars and Conflicts:
    • Miskito Border Raids: As Miskito border raids have been common since our war against them, as part of our national defense against those raids, since they wont trade with us and just as a show of force, a declaration of war was sent to Miskito to get them to commit forces into a battle so we could crush them. After raising levies and carefully marching down to their borders, we engaged their army and using our superior numbers we routed their army. As to avoid sieging having to finish their armies off in the mountains which could take a while and cause a lot of casualties, we end the war for now by sending them a peace offer.
  • Diplomacy:
    • Teotihuacan, Tlapanec, and Teuchitlan: While we used to be enemies, we would like to pursue trade agreements with you that will benefit us both along with improving relations once again.
    • Miskito: You really are not in a place to negotiate, join our league and open up your trade to us. You will keep everything you have now and you will be granted with the same privileges the other city states have...
  • Events:
    • Road Expansion: As the New World does not have horses, we heavily rely on roads to move supplies and trade, so cooperation between the city states in this matter is heavily important, after sending delegations to all the major cities, all of them agreed to help fund it for the betterment of profit. So, new roads have been planned out and old ones fixed and expanded.
    • Slow Consolidation: While war between the city states has been very common since the foundation of the Mayan Empire, very little has been done to stop it. The city states have came together to stop the infighting that harms their trade which they desperately desire and need. After years of debate, many agreements were passed between kings and priests preventing their realms from going to war unless trade was harmed or religious issues were happening

Yamato, Izumo, Kibi no Toitsu Kokoku (United Kingdoms of Yamato, Izumo and Kibi)[]

  • Government: Union of Monarchies, with exception for Ainu Tohoku (Democratic Tribalism)
    • Mikado of Yamato and Izumo (Temporary): Empress Himiko Rokuban-me (Until 336 AD, only for six years after death of Hirobito no Kyuseishu)
    • Mikado of Yamato: Empress Michiko Ichiban-me (338 AD onwards, born 319 AD)
    • Mikado of Izumo: Empress Heiwa no Tankyū-sha ('Seeker of Peace', 343 AD onwards, born 319 AD)
    • Kohaku of Tohoku: Hare-re Yokai (Male, elected 337 AD)
    • Mikado of Kibi: [To be filled by Prince Izuriya Midoku]
    • Economy: Izumo sees internal chaos, with imperial families acting in open sabotage against one another competing for influence after the death of the former Mikado of Izumo. Accordingly, many Izumo merchants and persons escape to newly-unionised Kibi and back to Yamato, some fleeing Northwards to Tohoku. In the meantime, the establishment of the Beikoku Keisatsu (United Police) allows for the policing of crime, as well as the confiscation of certain Izumo imperial families' assets.
    • Capital: Yamatai-koku (Consolidated capital)(Present-day Sakurai, Nara), Edo (Yamato), Kioku (Izumo), Umienomon (Tohoku), Naruto (Kibi)
    • Demographics:
      • Population: 1,934,000
      • Religion: Non-mandated
      • Ethnicities: 29.5% Yamato, 21% Izumo, 27.5% Ainu, 5% Nakoku, 5% Hayato, 9.5% Kibi, 2.5% Gojoseon
    • Military: The Izumo military is comandeered by Yamato and the sponsored Empress of Izumo, Heiwa no Tankyū-sha. Parts of the wartime military settle in and around Naruto, mostly draftees, while the remaining 9,600 men begin to police the border between Izumo and Iwami, combating both Iwami and rogue Izumo forces. At the same time, the Yamato Army begins to purchase several ships from Gojoseon merchants to begin a naval division.
    • Wars/Conflicts: We call for a ceasefire with Iwami and refuse to advance into Iwami further due to the civil war in Izumo. The Loyalists of Izumo, allied to the full Toitsu Kokoku, and led by Empress Heiwa no Tankyū-sha, eventually win, although Izumo has been irreperably harmed.
    • Diplomacy:
      • Iwami: Empress Heiwa no Tankyū-sha apologises to Iwami and Kibi for the war. The new, full, Tōitsu ōkoku seifu (Government of the United Kingdoms) offers several of the rebels, including former advisor and war minister to the now-dead Empress Hirobito no Kyuseishu, Aizawa Kei, for prosecution in Iwami. We again reiterate that our only demand is that Iwami rejoin Kibi as part of the Union, and it will be granted autonomy on the level of that of Tohoku.
    • Events:
      • Revision of the Josei Mikado Teikoku-rei, 338 AD: The law which only allows for female monarchs is revised to only apply to Yamato and Izumo, following the events in Izumo and Kibi joining the union, to allow Izuriya Midoku to take back his own kingdom. Similarly, it allows Kohaku Yokai of Tohoku to take his elected position.
      • Izumo Civil War, 330 AD-334 AD: Following the death of the former Izumo monarch, the kingdom erupts into civil war hearing of the peace deal advocated by Yamato and Tohoku. While the Loyalists claim victory, Izumo has been harmed irrepably.
      • Formation of the Tōitsu ōkoku seifu, 336 AD: A full, unified government over the various kingdoms and states of the Union is formed in the aftermath of the Izumo conflict. Accompanying it are the establishment of a police force and the first government-mandated medical facilities.

    • Wars and Conflicts (italics: Potential War):
      • War against Bactria
      • The Aksumite War: The navy is drastically built on. We perform raids on coastal Aksumite villages and settlements to gain resources, as well as a warning to stay away from Suraban. We can see a war coming from this, so some armies and ships are mobilized.
      • Shielded Spearmen: Our Spearmen now have shields.
    • Military: Our conscription law is ~9% of the population
      • Shielded Spearmen: 500

    • Diplomacy:
      • Suraban: We request that you become our vassal, it is for your best.
      • Gerrha: But of course.
      • Gerrha, Abhiras, Rome and UW: Why not invest in trade to Tamreda?
      • Aksum: Stay away from Suraban, they are our ally.
      • Saba: Let's establish diplomatic relations, and maybe trade.
    • Events:
      • East Africa: We attempt to colonize parts of the Horn of Africa and we discover the island of Zanzibar.
      • Expansion: We expand our more narrow territories to the north a little.
      • Religion: We adopt Zoroastrianism, the religion from Persia, that we've observed our ally Gerrha to take part in.

  • Roman Expedition (280 to present): The Roman Bactrian War is technically considered an event that is part of the Roman's Expedition
  • Roman-Bactrian War (330 to Present): The Romans, after being caught off guard by the Bactrians, had attempted to hold back the Bactrians as 2 new legions and 5 auxilliary forces, would arrive to assist the existing 10 legions and 5 Auxilliary forces (+ allies) to counter attack the Bactrian forces deep to its territory by surrounding its main force by allowing them to push to Hecatompylus before surrounding them via flanking from behind. The Roman forces involved in the war would be UP TO roughly 115,000 soldiers (not including allies), a third of the total Roman Army, to capture cities and towns in northern Bactria within the span the next 20 years.
  • Diplomacy:
  • Bactria: We would like your complete surrender before anything worse happens.
  • Events:
  • Absorbing irminonics (Munichians) and Esceosians: Encouraged by their autonomous regions' encouragement local tribes into the Empire. The Romans assist the Westrians in territorial expansion into Irminonics and Esceoians if they want.
  • Rise of Christianity: The gradual slow rise of Christianity inspired Constantine, he made Christianity a recognized or tolerated religion in the Roman Empire alongside Paganism. Much to the annoyance of some.

Gerrhan Merchant Republic []

  • Government:
    • The Bactrian Question: Bactria, the Indo-Greeks, has existed for too long. They are a remnant of ages past, ages when a nation based in Greece held land across the known world. Our allies in Persia have called for war on this ancient relic of a land. They are dangerous, powerful, strong, but this should not be a barrier. We believe in helping our allies, we believe in loyalty. Therefore we declare war on Bactria and send a Sipah to Bactria, to aid our allies.
    • The Guptan Question: Gupta is at odds with Kushan, war could boil over at any moment. We start ramping up our trade, and offer our troops for the soon to arrive war, they are to arrive under the guise of military training and alliance, we ask to train in the diverse landscape of India, there is lots to do there. We aim to eventually ask for a port city in India, so we can develop trade buildings and all, for greater co-operation.
    • Exploration: We focused a lot on India, so our ships have constant movement between the Persian Gulf and India. It would be the height of hubris to not check the other nations, other than Gupta. A navy of 30 Bahris are designated to go lower than Gupta, to check the other nations, to see what is down there. Usually ships go along the Coast, these ballsy seamen are to check it all out, they are there to see if anything exists. 10 Indawis, larger Bahris, are sent to the lands South of Aksum and West of Socotra, the region that is the gate to the Red Sea. Our Muscati Allies are already there, we build a small base there as well, effectively colonizing as well.
    • Adnanite Expansions: We continue our policy of dependency, and build Adnan, finally, where Al-Muzahmiyya is IRL. The purpose of the city is to have the locals dependent on it for money and goods, and eventually, sort of be part of our nation. The current tribes in our lands are given the same option as the Assyrians, a council with representatives sent to the Grand Council.
    • The Port of Grane: We need a port that can get to both our Assyrian Lands and our traditional Gerrhan Lands. While the port of Al-Khor and Ibri and Kittenia all have their benefits, we need a central port in between both Assyria and Gerrha Proper. Thus we build a City, called Grane, where Kuwait is IRL.
  • Economy: Our nation continues to prosper. The more of the Fertile Crescent we control, the more food security we have, the more people that can do other jobs.

  • Military Operations and Events
    • The Spice Trade:
      • Guptan Support: The Guptas fought the Saka and took their land. For that war we sent the Army of the Gulf into Saka to aid them. Then, we ask the Guptas if we can keep the force there, for training. In all reality, we are there to aid them quickly in the case of another war, our plan is to strengthen them so we get good amounts of spices.
    • The Adnanite Expansion:
      • Dependency: Continuation of Dependency Principle and Assimilation
    • New Military Troops:
      • Indawis: Larger versions of the seafaring Bahris, useful for transporting up to 30 troops each, as opposed to the Bahris and their 10 troops
    • Horn of Africa Expedition:
      • Setting up a Fort: Last time, we sent the 10,000 troops of the Army of the Gulf to scout out the region. This time, having scouted the land, we send actual settlers to settle the coast, with good supply lines. They are to settle not stuck to the Muscatis, but a bit further, so we don't conflict.
    • Shapur-Bactrian War:
      • The Bactrians: The Bactrians are a remnant of Alexander's occupation of this region. They have stayed there for too long. We personally believe that they have been here for too long. We want the Persians to take over instead, as a stronger ally means more help.
      • The March on Alexandria Kandahar: We send the Assyrian Sipah and the Raiding Party straight towards Alexandria Kandahar. The Raiding Party is to occupy all the villages on the South of Alexandria Kandahar and disrupt supply lines and harrass enemy troops. They commit to a scorched earth tactic that aims to ruin enemy supplies. Villages aren't raided, and towns aren't burnt, unless they are in the enemy troops path. Villages with food insecurity are given food and supplies, just to keep the people on our side. The Assyrian Sipah is going straight for the city, they want to take the city and fortify it.
        Bactrian Plan

Shows land we expect to occupy in Bactria. The White and Blue lines show the Supply Lines.

      • Eventual Aims: We aim to make this land that we control into a subject state, a tributary state. It is far from our land to be controlled directly, but it is valuable land that we don't want to lose.
    • Aksumite War:
      • Our Respects to our Allies: We donate our Entire Gulfic Navy and Al-Khor Sipah to the Muscatis
    • Religious Turmoil:
      • Developments: Zoroastrian continues growing in our nation, and ever since it has been adopted in Omani Muscat, it is growing it popularity. Assyrian remains dominant in the Stronghold in the Fertile Crescent. Christianity is slowly gaining ground towards Judea, however, it isn't growing really fast. Arabian Paganism is still strong in traditionally Adnanite land, but, if it weren't for the assimilation of Adnanite Lands, it could have become a religion of the past.
        Religious Map Turn 5

        Shows Religious view of Gerrha

      • Conflicts: The Assyrian Stronghold feels somewhat threatened by the growth of Christianity to the West. Conflicts rise in the villages near the fault line, very low level conflicts, at the scale of a few stand-offs. It is unnoticed by our nation, it is too small to notice
  • Research:
    • Research into better weapons: Weighting the Javelin tips has made them go further and more accurately. We adopt these as the standard Javelins for our army. We start focusing on the swords of our nation. They have been short swords all along. We start experimenting.
    • The Wind Ship: The Indawis are great in bunches, but they don't rival out Gulfic Navy's transport power. We start developing larger versions of these ships, the "Granes"
    • Elamines: The Glass production that is needed to produce clear glass is expensive, it is difficult to get the glass. This limits our research, but its still going along. Focusing the Sunlight makes for good light shows, but what happens if we continue focusing it? However, as a pre-requisite, we start research and development of Glass Production Facilities (Not part of the Research Agreement with Muscat)
  • Diplomacy:
    • Gupta: Respond to all our attempts: We want to bring in 10,000 troops into Guptan land for training. We also want to establish trade routes through Guptan Saka to Bactria. We start floating around the idea of buying a port on Guptan Saka, for the sake of trade
    • Muscat Oman: Read Aksumite War area in Military Operations. Also, we want to build a colony on the horn of Africa with you
    • Shapurids: Lets remove the Bactrians. Also, we want to develop a route through your lands to Alexandria Kandahar. We also want to have access to your Eastern-most port.
    • Adnanites: Please join our nation

Events & Great People[]

  • Bactrian War: With the many kingdoms declaring war on Bactria simultaneously, they pull several strings of their own - effectively bringing almost all of India, Arabia and East Africa into total war. The diplomatic mess that ensued consolidated several nations into notable blocs, perhaps the first time such an occurrence has taken place in human history.
  • Burmese Collapse: After several decades of stagnation after the wars against Funan and Langkasuka, the Burmese kingdom collapses.
  • Yin-Tsu Migrations: Following the onset of the Umoric invasion, the displacement and migration of thousands of Tistuans spreads the Yin-Tsu culture, a unique Sino-Sarmatic blend, across the Dnieper.
  • Naval Technology: The use of sails in ships explode as the Gerrhan naval vessels outfitted with the modifications are noted for sudden bursts of speed in the presence of winds. While originally present in the seas of Southeast Asia, the design has begun to propagate elsewhere.
  • Fireflowers: Gunpowder is accidentally invented in Zhang, which is currently used in spectacular firework displays known as "Fireflowers".

NPC Turns[]

  • Aksum: They declare war on Aegyptos with Saba.
  • Iwami: They accept Yamato's offer, and continue to firmly reject any form of offer from Izumo that they view to be detrimental.
  • Miskito: They respond to Maya by clarifying they are not at war, and that Maya is continually expanding into their territory by force.
  • Abhiras: They would accept Muscat-Oman's offer if they weren't being invaded right now.
  • Uputhara Wansura: They accept Muscat-Oman's offer.
  • Saba: They declare war on Aegpytos with Aksum, and Suraban individually.
  • Suraban: They initially decline at the notion of being vassalised, but accept after they begin to be invaded.
  • Danska: They agree to Nordicia's proposal.
  • Bactria: They tell Rome, Shapurids, Scythia, Gupta, Gerrha and Muscat-Oman to "go stuff their heads up their asses" in Greek.
  • Gupta: They agree to the movement of Gerrhan troops and trade routes, but respectfully shoot down the idea of selling ports.
  • Shapurid Dynasty: They agree to the creation of routes, and allow Gerrhan forces access to their easternmost port for the duration of the Bactrian War.

Vedena[]

Umoric Confederation / Daevite Confederation? (soon)[]

KDM Umor Daevites 6
  • Government: A tribal confederation, comprising of many families, their control over territory is decentralised, meaning Umor does not own this land due to nomadic lifestyles, but they control it as if it were part of an empire. Many in the tribal council are confident that they could take the title of the Daevite Confederation. After taking over what's left of Tistu, some high priestesses even under Matriarch Midu had disapproved the use of the Daevite Confederation name until someone who is worthy to be the greatest matriarch could take leadership (this will come at 400-425 AD)
    • Matriarchs:
      • Midu (330 AD-369 AD)
      • Artas (369 AD-present)
  • Military (idk if OP, but this is going to impact the next century): The military here is predominantly men (although female sacrificers might be seen as they are priestesses too) and since they are nomadic, the military tends to be larger, focused on cavalry and much flexible than organised armies of Rome or of former China. The numbers are largely raised dramatically after the Daevites have taken over Tistu, meaning that in the future, the Roman Empire may face a future threat even greater than the ones in the east and back at home. (or not, depending on how great the outlook is)
    • 6000 horse archers
    • 4000 horsemen/cavalry (comprised of spears, rarely long swords and daggers)
    • 2300 melee soldiers (comprised of spears, rarely long swords and daggers)
    • 1200 foot archers
    • 500 sacrificers
    • Siege equipment such as ladders, battering rams and siege towers
    • Dozens of quickly built catapults (their accuracy doesn't go well)
  • Economy: The economy relies on basic subsidence and resources around the region. With the sacking of Tistu villages and towns, along with the occupation, agriculture is being revived again, but for many of the Daevites, livestock is still predominant. No trade is observed from in and out of the Umoric Confederation, largely because of the current state, which is basically destroying everything in one path.
  • Demographics: Though the population of Daevites quickly became a minority (apart from men who want to spread their genes, although the term gene did not exist then, it was a way to 'fasten the process of populating' further down the line by abducting non-Daevite women and trying to fertilise them), the Daevites have the most power and control over the Tistu kingdom itself.
  • Population: 620,000 (169,000 are of Daevite or half-Daevite [meaning those that were born from a Daevite father usually] descent, 341,000 are non-Daevites which are not considered slaves but forced to submit and 110,000 slaves)
    • Religion: 35% Blood Gods, 10% Astryianism, 55% Other
    • Culture: 27% Daevite, 61% Yin-tsu/Tistuan, 12% Other
  • Events:
    • Astryianism: The religion of Astryianism spread with every slave and non-Daevite civilian who don't like the brutalities of the Daevite culture, but are influenced by that as a way 'to free themselves' from the oppression. Slave rebellion might be near impossible with every priestess and warrior watching upon every slave they take, but there could be one slipping by.
    • The Scourge of Daevites: The city of Jikos is besieged by siege equipment and many foot soldiers, where the estimated population by contemporary historians say its around 350,000 at the time of its height. The Daevites (or the Umor still) have cut it by more than a half and expelled most of the people into the countryside. It was inevitable to see the Tistu kingdom crumble, as they lived almost peacefully (except the time where Yin invaded Tistu) for almost 1,300 years of its life. The city of Jikos would burn to the ground, to be forgotten like Troy (in our OTL which lived on as a tale until the 19th century, not this ATL) thanks to the Umor setting it on fire and instilling terror among many of the civilians and nobles away from their former domain. The Umor would also loot a lot of valuables before the razing, so that they could find secrets to the western lands. Many high priestesses, chieftesses and the Matriarch herself are potentially literate in the local Tistu script (?) (and perhaps the Latin script too) through enslaved workers who are partially literate (especially nobles that they've captured). The ancient Daevite script is only readable to a handful few, maybe around 20, but they are only direct in the scripture of ancient Daevite tales that were passed down since the inception of the first Daevite Confederation. The rest of Daevites would be illiterate.
    • Western Secrets: Rumours of an abandoned and ransacked city, perhaps a ruined city even in the west called Lutsk has been brought up by Matriarch Artas and few high priestesses upon ransacking Jikos. It is said to be ruled by Vedena centuries ago before their (sudden?) migration to modern western Bulgaria. Since Vedena is slowly expanding with Roman conquests to the north in the hopes of taking back their city, the Umor sends out few scouts into the area and to find any value before preparing full priority to occupy the city before they do. (response, if it is necessary)

Sultanate of Muscat-Oman[]

  • Government: Absolute Monarchy (Sultanate)
    • Sultan: Abdul III al-Qazi (B 269 AD - 351 AD) (R 302 AD - 351 AD), Rasheed IV al-Qazi (B 332 AD, still alive) (R 351 AD - Present)
    • Economy: Based around fishing, some agriculture and trading mostly, as well as taxing of the villagers and peasants. Our vassal of Suraban also contributes to the economy. With the spices from the east we become richer by selling them to nearby peoples. Trade with Rome influences us. We also are trading with Upathara Wansura, Gerrha and Abhiras.
    • Capital: Muscat
    • Demographics (not including Suraban):
      • Population:
      • Muscat: 7130
      • Ibri: 4350
      • Salala: 3420
      • Duqm: 3115
      • Tamreda (Hadibu): 1100
      • Sur: 601
      • Rural areas (AKA everything else): ~92,050
      • Ethnicities: 84% Omani, 7% Gerrhan, 3% Qatan, 2% Rhabi, 2% Azd tribes
      • Religion: 97% Zoroastrianism, 3% Other (Christianity, Paganism etc.)
    • Wars and Conflicts (italics: Potential War):
      • Bactrian War: The grandest conflict we've observed so far has sprung out and Muscat-Oman shall not surrender. We declare war on Bactria and later the other enemy nations that declare war on our allies.
        • Eastern Naval War: Crossing the strait over to Aksum is dangerous and difficult, thus before attempting any sort of land invasion we send in 70 warships, 30 transport ships, 15 fireships and 100 ships from the gulfic navy gifted to us by Gerrha towards the Red Sea to break the naval blockade and attack the nations' navies. The naval combat consists mostly of ramming, with some arrow fire from certain transport ships and warships to establish dominance. Our remaining ships, along with Surabanese ships, stay as reinforcements.
        • Mainland War: An army of 25k sent to us by Gerrha, as well as one of our own armies (800 Spearmen, 900 Shortswordmen, 300 Bowmen and 200 Horsemen) to engage the enemy of Saba and push them out of Surabanese lands and defend. A smaller part of this army takes part in occupying Suraban (see below). The strait of Bab-el-Mandeb (between irl Djibouti and Yemen) is garrisoned.
        • Socotra and Horn of Africa: Our colonies, as well as Gerrhas, are put under garrison, with a few forts being built there.
        • Western Naval War: To help our important ally Abhiras, we send a naval force equipped with 500 infantry units to try and assist them in their front.
      • Occupation of Suraban: Our forces entering Suraban take part in occupying them, abolishing their vassal government and absorbing them into our own realm.
      • New Naval Technology: Plenty of our ships are outfitted with sails and it doesn't end. We have also developed fire ships, used as "suicide" ships that ram into important enemy ships to destroy them and weaken their navy.
      • Army Reform: We reform our army as it is need of it, using new military technology and upgrading our troops.
    • Military: Our conscription law is ~9% of the population
      • Reformed Shielded Spearmen: 1500
      • Swordsmen: 3000
      • Bowmen: 1500
      • City Guards (found mostly in cities but also smaller "squads" exist in larger villages): 1000
      • Dromedary Forces: 1000
      • Sword Cavalry: 600
      • Spear Cavalry: 600
      • Javelineers: 200
    • Navy:
      • 58 transport ships (can hold around 8-12 men)
      • 170 trade ships
      • 90 warships (galleys pretty much)
      • 35 fire ships
      • Although not part of the navy we have 400 fishing ships.
      • 111 military ships from Gerrha
    • Diplomacy:
      • Bactria: You are a filthy, disgusting stain of a civilization.
      • Gerrha: Ahura Mazda guide us through this war!
      • Suraban: We tell their populace that the occupation is "for their greater good".
    • Events:
      • The Young Sultan: Abdul III lived for long and oversaw the start of the Bactrian War. Before he could do much about it, he passed from natural causes. His heir was his eldest son, Rasheed IV, who was 18 when he took to the throne. Whilst young, he had studied a lot about war and related things. He has now conscripted a large portion of our populace to serve in the military, mobilizing them for war.
      • Rhabi and Qatan Population: Due to our assimiliation they are slowly becoming Omani and many of them are conscripted into the military.
      • Autonomous Regions of Aynarab, Rhabi and Qata: Aynarab's autonomy is revoked, due to there not being any more Aynarabites. The Sultan is considering revoking the other's autonomies as well, due to their original cultures slowly disappearing.

Roman Empire[]

  • Government: Imperial Dynasty. Absolute Monarchy.
    • Ruler (Emperor):
    • Constantius II (340 CE - 361 CE),
    • Julian (361 CE - 363 CE),
    • Jovian (363 CE- 364 CE),
    • Valentinian I (the Great) (364 - 375 CE),
    • Valentinian II, (375 CE - present)
  • Economy: Roman coinage. Based around trade regarding farming, fishing, mining, and various other things. Major hubs around the Empire help provides for this. being at peace for centuries has allowed the Romans to slowly build their vast treasury (although inflation is also a problem).
  • Capital: Rome
  • Demographics:
    • Population: ~85 Million. 20% Latin, 15% Greek, 10% Celtic, 15% German, 5% Persian, 35% Other.
    • Religion: Pagan 30% (mostly cities), Christian 50% (mostly countryside), Other 20% (cities/countryside).
  • Military: NOTE: THE NEW TERRITORY BOLSTERED NUMBERS AND PROVIDED NEW MANPOWER. The Roman military boasts one of the largest and most efficient militaries in history. PIONEERS are a new breed of Roman troops, mostly from autononmous regions that came into the empire proper, these are survivalists and adventurers from rough travels outside of the Empire that joined Roman military and separated from the rest of the pack due to their more loose nature. They mainly guard caravans and other merchants, but they are loose and ragtag enough to infiltrate enemy lines.
    • Soldiers: STANDING: 350,000+. 40 Legions, 6000 men each (240,000). 25 Auxiliary legions, 4000 men each (80,000), mercenaries/pioneers: 10,000.
  • Wars and Conflicts:
    • Roman Expedition (280 to present): The Roman Bactrian War is technically considered an event that is part of the Roman's Expedition. But it has expanded to far out
    • Bactrian War (330 to Present): The Bactrian War has expanded throughout the east, and the conflict is now known as either the Bactrian War or the Eastern War (which would be today known as the  War of the Middle-East or something). The Roman Army in Bactria, bolstering 150,000 men, continues to push on Bactria in order to capture Alexandria Furthest and Alexandria Herat by 375 CE.
    • AKSUM: Rome sent 5 legions and 5 Auxiliary units (50,000 troops) south to Aksum to recapture lost territory, mainly Egypt, and destroy Aksum alongside its co-belligerents.
    • Roman-Judaean War (360 to ?): In order for better access for armies, and to take back control of the lost Judaean province, the Roman Empire moves into Judaea to occupy it with an army of 5 legions (30,000 troops).
  • Diplomacy:
    • Bactria: We would like your complete surrender before anything worse happens.
    • Aksum: We would like your complete surrender before anything worse happens.
  • Events:
    • Absorbing irminonics (Munichians) and Esceosians: Encouraged by their autonomous regions' encouragement local tribes into the Empire. The Romans assist the Westrians in territorial expansion into Irminonics and Esceoians if they want.
    • Valentinian I the Great: Emperor Jovian's death may resulted in a succession crisis, however what was left of the Roman senate had selected Valentinian was a military general fighting in the eastern front (in this timeline). The rise of a great historical emperor, Valentinian I, would give the Empire an opportunity to push further than before as Valentinian is now able to control the nations' troops instead of a few.

    • Miskito: We are sorry for the misunderstanding, we just don't want to deal with any of your tribe's border raids, we have disbanded our army and would like to persue relations with your tribes, and we will fairly treat your culture well in our country. Secretly in the meanwhile we begin to slowly assimilate the native Miskitites into our Mayan culture.

    • The Spice Trade:
      • Army of the Gulf: The Guptas are at war with the Kalinga, and on the losing side of it. It has become important for us to secure our trading routes through Gupta. Therefore, we send all 10k of our Army of the Gulf straight into the front line. Hopefully this will have an effect.
      • Withdrawal from Bactria: We fully suuport Gupta in their wars. However, it is important for them to survive, and a continued offensive through Bactria is not feasable for the Guptans. We pressure Gupta into withdrawing troops from Bactria, holding on to the land gained, but not taking extra steps forward.
    • The Adnanite Expansion:
      • Dependency: Continuation of Dependency Principle and Assimilation
    • New Military Troops:
      • Fire Ships: Suicidal Rafts lit on fire, designed for the large volume of ships blockading the Red Sea.
    • Horn of Africa Expedition:
      • Silence: We try to remain silent, as to not draw any attention. This colony must be quietly established. Meanwhile, we fortify it.
    • Shapur-Bactrian War:
      • Stabilization: We have captured all we wanted to. Our Assyrian Sipah is to remain in the region and stabilize it, making it more friendly to our control, as is our long term plan. We hand out aid to the civillians and take part in their traditions.
      • Slow Occupation: We intend to slowly, but surely, expand our occupation further, moving towards Nicaea and besieging it, but not attempting to storm it.
        Bactria Plan 2
      • Proposal to allies in war: We propose the map to our allies.
      • Insulting Bactria: I wouldn't insult the people who occupied my cities.
    • Aksumite War:
      • Fire Glory: The blockade of the Red Sea is unfortunate. We developed the Fire ships to deal with this. They are inexpensive so we produced loads of them. They are to go full out into the blockade as our navy, and Muscats, engage the enemy. They'll go in, in the cover of our assault.
        Saba Plan
      • Suprise Attack: The enemy has engaged the Suraban and Muscat. Our only option in this war is to suprise the enemy from behind. As their military is condensed on the Suraban Border, fighting the combined armies of Suraban, Muscat and Us, the Adnanite Sipah is to attack smack dab into their nation. The Romans have distracted a lot of their forces up North, so resistance should be weak. The Raiding Force follows on, with a rest in Adnan, raiding every part of the Saban Nation, cutting supply lines.
      • Egypt's Pitiful Navy: Egypt barely has a worthwhile Navy. We send Engineer Corps to Egypt to build fireships in Egypt and Sinai with the permission of the relevant nations.
    • Exploration:
      • We discover a bunch of Islands off India (Maldives). Colonisation is not in question yet.
    • Religious Turmoil:
      • Conflicts: The Conflicts die down, Patriotism in the Bactria war is the focus instead
  • Research:
    • Research into better weapons: On hold.
    • The Wind Ship: The war means that our Granes are delayed till next turn
    • Elamines: Glass production Continues getting more streamlined and better
  • Diplomacy:
    • Gupta: Read Spice Trade Section
    • Muscat Oman: Read Aksumite War Section. Also, invest in Fire Ships
    • Shapurids: We offer you some military technology, pick yourself up man
    • Adnanites: Please join our nation
    • Saba: Ladies and Gentlemen... We got em
    • Rome, Egypt: Respond to Egypt's Pitiful Navy Section

Turn IX: 375 AD - 400 AD[]

KdM375-400A

Events & Great People[]

  • The Bactrian War; Part Deux: After years of conflict, Kushan has made peace with Goriwala and Kalinga, ceding large portions of territory. These territories are promptly invaded by the Guptan Empire. Meanwhile, major Bactrian cities have fallen to foreign forces, with pockets of surviving troops hiding in the mountains of Kashmir. Abhiras is overrun by Chutu, disrupting the spice trade. Rome maintains an acknowledged presence in Scythia. Roman Aegyptos has pushed Saba out of Africa completely, and is pushing down on Aksum with limited success. Saba is currently squeezed between Roman forces occupying Ma'an and Muscat-Omani forces holding Saban troops off in Occupied Suraban.
  • Hierapolis Sawmill: The stone sawmill is invented in Asia Minor, Rome. The sawmill is used to cut stone for building projects of the empire. It is the first machine to combine a crank with a connecting rod for its mechanisms.
  • Water Turbine: The first prototypes of the water turbine are introduced in Roman Tunisia in use for agriculture. Farmers begin to build them for grinding grain. The horizontal water wheel with angled blades was installed at the bottom of a water-filled, circular shaft. The water from the mill-race entered the pit tangentially, creating a swirling water column which made the fully submerged wheel act like a true turbine.
  • St Augustine of Hippo: The great philosopher and theologian lives in North African Rome. He learns many things about Christianity from father Ambrosius and converts. He rationalizes and philosophisizes about free will and salvation. He criticizes the Roman way of life and concentration on earthly happiness and following one's lusts. He introduces Augustinian pessimism. He also theorizes about the concept of the city of men and the city of god.
  • The Council of Inbhir Nis: The tribal confederate council of Inbhir Nis is formed to unify all the Pict tribes into a confederation to fight the Romans. All the Pict tribes join, creating a loose confederacy.
  • Raids on Roman Britain: Small raids continue to hammer northern Roman Britain, with Pictish, Agathese and Albionic raiders arriving navally on Roman shores and forts to destroy infrastructure and pillage goods. The Albions and Picts use hit and run tactics, which are highly effective against the large stationary targets. If followed they continue hiding in the forest and ambushing the Romans if they enter the thick forests.

NPC Turns[]

  • Saba and Aksum: They sue for peace with Rome, Muscat-Oman and Gerrha.
  • Balhae: They are released by Gojoseon to appease the Shoshen peoples.
  • Teotihuacan, Tlapanec, and Teuchitlan: They accept the Mayan proposal.
  • Cyrenaicans: They split from the Lybian culture group.
  • Judea: They surrender to Rome.
  • Chutu: They sue Muscat-Oman and Gupta for peace.

Umoric Confederation / Daevite Empire? (next turn)[]

KDM Umor Daevites 7
  • Government: A tribal confederation, comprising of many families, their control over territory is decentralised, meaning Umor does not own this land due to nomadic lifestyles, but they control it as if it were part of an empire. Many in the tribal council are confident that they could take the title of the Daevite Confederation. After taking over what's left of Tistu, some high priestesses even under Matriarch Midu had disapproved the use of the Daevite Confederation name until someone who is worthy to be the greatest matriarch could take leadership (this will come at 400-425 AD)
    • Matriarchs:
      • Artas (369 AD-377 AD)
      • Paxama (377 AD-380 AD)
      • Rhada (380 AD-398 AD)
      • Chav (398 AD-present)
    • Capital: There is no capital as the nation is decentralised with tribes. However the leading matriarch's tribe is often considered the capital with the unofficial capital being called "Umorka" which was founded in intent of council meetings.
  • Military: The military here is predominantly men (although female sacrificers might be seen as they are priestesses too) and since they are nomadic, the military tends to be larger, focused on cavalry and much flexible than organised armies of Rome or of former China. The numbers are largely raised dramatically after the Daevites have taken over Tistu, meaning that in the future, the Roman Empire may face a future threat even greater than the ones in the east and back at home. (or not, depending on how great the outlook is)
    • 9900 horse archers
    • 8200 horsemen/cavalry (comprised of spears, rarely long swords and daggers)
    • 3500 melee soldiers (comprised of spears, rarely long swords and daggers)
    • 2700 foot archers
    • 710 sacrificers
    • Siege equipment such as ladders, battering rams and siege towers
    • Lots of catapults, some of them were built better than others.
    • Population: 900,000 (241,000 are of Daevite or half-Daevite [meaning those that were born from a Daevite father usually] descent, 539,000 are non-Daevites which are not considered slaves but forced to submit and 120,000 slaves)
    • Religion: 35% Blood Gods, 15% Astryianism, 50% Other
    • Culture: 27% Daevite, 53% Yin-tsu/Tistuan, 11% Dacian, 9% Other
  • Events:
    • Astryianism: The religion of Astryianism spread with every slave and non-Daevite civilian who don't like the brutalities of the Daevite culture, but are influenced by that as a way 'to free themselves' from the oppression. Slave rebellion might be near impossible with every priestess and warrior watching upon every slave they take, but there could be one slipping by.
    • Refounding of Jikos (as Chikos): After the Daevites have razed the city to the ground, the city was refounded by some of the remnants of Tistuic survivors around the 390s AD (years after the razing), although that new town would have its name corrupted to Chikos (as part of my demands for the map) and that it will never be the same as Jikos once again, only one that covers the rubble and remains of it.
    • Daevite Expansionism: The Umoric Confederation continued to rapidly expand across with many of the tribes living near them fleeing in tremble, in what will soon be considered the Great Migration (if it exists in this timeline even). They have come to occupy the ancient, lost ruins of Lutsk and plundered their remains - and razing the city again to the ground by burning anything that is not relevant. The Umor also reached out into the Kingdom of the Polans and attack them with a 3,000 strong force, in hopes of occupying them, although they will be met with strong resistance due to word being spread across the continent unlike Tistu where they have expected their impending doom.
    • Birth of a Future Ruler: A future ruler who would soon be named Attilla (not to be confused with OTL Attila, who is a male Hunnic general) was born in one of the Umor Daevite tribes on the autumn of 399 AD. She is bathed with blood to see if she is worthy and for many priestesses, it seems that they've found the reincarnated Daevite Empress.

Mayan Empire:[]

  • Government: A league of independent city states ruled by heredity kings and priests. Now with a king who holds power just to control military affairs.
    • Protector of the Suns: Camazotz (291-)
  • Economy: The Mayan economy is fully based around agricultural trade between the city states through an advanced trade network that connects all the city states together along with trading with other countries on our border.
  • Capital: Tikal.
  • Demographics
    • Population: 539,210 (96% Mayan, 4% other)
    • Religion: 99% Mayan, 1% Other
  • Mayan Military: Under the reign of Protector Camazotz, the levy system has slowly been progressing to a standing army but the reforms have not been fully done yet. Along with that, the army size has been bumped up to 25k and after we found the bow by trading with Teotihuacan we began to mass produce that.
    • Foot Soldiers: 22,500
    • Archers: 2,5000
  • Mayan Navy: After preparations have been done over the last 30 years, in 280, our plans finally started with the building of our grand fleet.
    • Canoes: 10
    • Trade and Supply Canoes: 25
  • Wars and Conflicts: None.
  • Diplomacy:
    • Tlapanec: We would like to be able to get access though your border so some of our men can collect some herbs in your country.
  • Events:
    • A Protector: After a council was formed to prevent wars between city states, another was formed on the issue of setting up a king for the realm, while nobody agreed on a king that fully controlled the country, many diplomats saw the need of a centralized use of a military. After convening the council decided it would be a good idea to have a king that only controlled the military and its affaires, and after some debate the council decided on making Camazotz the “Protector of the Suns”.
    • Expedition: After our fleet was done being built, the ships were stocked with supplies and gathered together before slowly being sent down the coastline towards modern day panama then slowly turning west with the coast down to Ecuador before turning around and coming back home. The new Protector has taken a keen interest in the coast in modern day Ecuador for a trade base, so he has sent out offers to Pacific city states which have been accepted to start plans for a trade base there.

    • Economy: Based around fishing, some agriculture and trading mostly, as well as taxing of the villagers and peasants. With the spices from the east we become richer by selling them to nearby peoples. Trade with Rome influences us. We also are trading with Upathara Wansura, Gerrha and Chutu.
    • Capital: Muscat

      • Chutu: We agree to peace with them and wish to maintain the spice trade.
    • Events:
      • Succession Crisis: The royal dynasty of al-Qazi was hit by disease and Imar I (Rasheed IV's son) passed from it, later Rasheed himself. His wife Aisha died in 399, but due to women not being able to be ruler the role from 376-377 was taken over by a noble by the name of Rebiin Mu'ammar. After that a council of nobles decided to take over as rulers until a new sultan can be chosen. Our nation is still called a Sultanate, even though there is no sultan currently. Tensions rise from this.
      • The End of the Golden Age of Muscat-Oman: An age seems to have ended now that we've lost territory and the long-lived dynasty has come to an apparent end. While the nation is in no way close to any sort of collapse, the golden age is still considered over.
      • Army and Navy: Both are significantly damaged after the war. We start rebuilding the two by conscripting new soldiers from the Surabanese people.
      • Autonomous Regions of Rhabi: Now that all Rhabi people are considered Omani, the Noble Council revokes the autonomy from Rhabi.
      • Surabanese Groups: There are a few Surabanese groups that are angry over the occupation and now annexation of their lands.

Roman Empire[]

  • Government: Imperial Dynasty. Absolute Monarchy.
    • Ruler (Emperor):
    • Theodosius I (375 CE - 395 CE)
    • Arcadius (395 CE - Present)
  • Economy: Roman coinage. Based around trade regarding farming, fishing, mining, and various other things. Major hubs around the Empire help provides for this. being at peace for centuries has allowed the Romans to slowly build their vast treasury (although inflation is also a problem).
  • Capital: Rome
  • Demographics:
    • Population: ~90 Million. 20% Latin, 15% Greek, 10% Celtic, 15% German, 5% Persian, 35% Other.
    • Religion: Pagan 20% (mostly countryside), Christian 60% (mostly cities), Other 20% (cities/countryside).
  • Military: NOTE: THE NEW TERRITORY BOLSTERED NUMBERS AND PROVIDED NEW MANPOWER. The Roman military boasts one of the largest and most efficient militaries in history.
The Roman Army in Bactria, bolstering 150,000 men, continues to push on Bactria in order to capture The rest of Bactria by 400CE
  • Diplomacy:
    • Bactria: We would like your complete surrender before anything worse happens.
    • Aksum and Saba: We will annex any territory we occupied from you, we will leave the rest to our allies in the war.
    • Westria: From hence forth, the rest of territorial expansion in Germania should go directly to us this time if you want. (This will allow us to form a protective barrier around you directly controlled by us), but the land will be processed and given to you once the time is right.
  • Events:
    • Absorbing irminonics (Munichians) and Esceosians: Encouraged by their autonomous regions' encouragement local tribes into the Empire. The Romans assist the Westrians in territorial expansion into Irminonics and Esceoians if they want. This time, the territories should directly go to them.
    • Theodosius I'''' the Great: Emperor Theodosius I was a military general also fighting in the eastern front (in this timeline). The rise of a great historical emperor, Valentinian I, would give the Empire an opportunity to push further than before as Theodosius is now able to control the nations' troops instead of a few. He is particularly fond of Christianity, and helped its promotion in the Empire.

  • Military Operations and Events
    • The Spice Trade:
      • Reinforcement: The Guptas are in many wars right now, 10,000 troops aren't enough in our mind. With the war on the Western front coming to a close, and Bactria being non-existant, we start dedicating the Al-Khor Sipah and the Raiding Force, totalling 42,500 Gerrhan troops overall in this front of the war.
      • Desire for a port: We are supporting the Guptas in their war. That doesnt mean we don't want a port city. As we push to the other side of Kalinga, we take a port city as soon as we reach one. We make sure we are the only ones attacking the port city, and keep the 10,000 Army of the Gulf there.
    • The Adnanite Expansion:
      • Halt of Expansion: Having built Adnan, our expansion is to slow down. We won't spend much more on the Adnanites. In our mind, the expansion has gone really well, but overextension is not a trait we want.
    • New Military Troops:
      • Granes: Much larger sail ships, can easily carry the load of 3 Indawis. Designed for trade, it is useful in our settling projects in the Gates of the Red Sea and the new lands of Luluah
    • Horn of Africa Expedition:
      • Expansion: During the war on Aksum, we sent the Adnanite Sipah to our colony, to prepare for war from the south. However, it seems like the war on this side has ended. So this army of 24,000 instead settles in, and starts developing this land. With 24,000 trained and organised soldiers added to the fray, this land is expected to grow astronomically.
      • Self Dependency: The land is dependent on constant supplies from our mainland. This is to change. One of the main needs of a land is food. We build grain stores, as they can be stored for a longer time. The colony produces animal products, and as much grains as possible. They have a 1 year store at all times. Ships are to arrive at the location with grains every week, with an overall 800 Bahris of shipment a year. More grain stores are to be built.
      • Fort Bahr: We build a Fortified Port City, called Bahr. It has a giant Fort in the center of the city, with high walls around the city proper. This is possible because of the addition of Granes, and the large number of Indawis. They transport people from across the nation there, with the addition of supplies.
    • Shapur-Bactrian War:
      • Kandahar: Our lands in Bactria, we can't return them to a non-existant Bactria, and we can't give away these hard fought lands. Therefore, we make them an autonomous vassal under the name of Kandahar. We retain influence there with nearby troops, but the Kandaharis are pretty much free from much influence.
    • Exploration:
      • Luluah: The lands we discovered off India, yeah, we are settling that, with Granes delivering things day by day
    • Religious Turmoil:
      • Nabateans: The conflicts on the west have caused a large migration of people into the country, through the North. These people have their own religous beliefs. This religious belief inserting in the midst of the Christians caused conflict. The Christians raided Nabatean villages, in small militias. The Nabateans, escaping the violence from the west are strong, and established their own militias, with better militias. This expansion in Nabatean land was spearheaded by their militia, getting a lot of christian land.
      • Assyrians and Christians: The Assyrians, with their large population produce large militias across the border regions where the Christians expanded. The conflicts lead to thousands of deaths. The Assyrians burn many villages, and rape the women.
      • Assyrians and Zoroastrians: The Zoroastrians have expanded to Kathe. The religious appeal of a monotheistic religion with defined rules is high. The Assyrians and Zoroastrians clash in Kathe. Assyrians have already mobilised and leads to Gang Violence in the city. The Zoroastrians also take up arms in retaliation, leading to general revolt. Thousands of people die there as well.
        Religious Map Turn 9

The yellow are Christians, the green are Assyrians, the blue are Zoroastrians, the orange are Arabian Pagans, the pink are Nabateans, the purple are Hellenistic Pagans

      • Awal Island (Bahrain): The Christian traders in Awal grew in size, until they had the majority of the island christian. This grew into the nearby regions, but at the cost of the original Zoroastrians. This, the same militia attacks occured here. The rich christians of the area were looted and attacked by Zoroastrians from Lubail. Hundreds died in this location, and rape was rampant.
  • Research:
    • Research into better weapons: Longer swords have been researched and are now at use with our heavy infantry and our Cavalry. More research into it continues.
    • The Wind Ship: Granes Developed
    • Elamines: For the sake of god Side, can I discover clear glass development?
  • Diplomacy:
    • Gupta: Please can we have port somewhere?

Turn X: 400 AD - 425 AD[]

KdM400-425A

Events & Great People[]

  • Nazca Lines: The massive geoglyphs are created in the Incan Empire by methods not completely understood.
  • Burning of Lutsk: The ancient city that housed lost secrets and potential treasures is almost completely destroyed by Umoric raiders. Future historians will look back and cringe at this act of blatant stupidity, including the burning of the Lutsk Library.
  • Hypatia: Hypatia, Greek philosopher, distinguishes herself as one of the first women scientists, and becoming head of the Neo-Platonist school at Alexandria.
  • Medical Advancements: Caelius Aurelianus, Roman physician, is practising his work "De morbis acutis et chronicis" (Concerning Acute and Chronic Illness), a guide to acute and chronic diseases.
  • End of the Bactrian War: The decades-long Bactrian War is finally over, with peace returning to the lands between Constantinople and Pataliputra.
  • Clear Glass: Glassblowers at Alagadda in Gerrha discover how to create clear glass.

NPC Turns[]

  • Monahtanuk & Natick: They collapse due to internal and external strife. Their towns are destroyed and their impact on the region will fade in the next centuries, with only tales of great wars in long lost cities remaining.
  • Osnerol: After centuries of stagnation, their empire expands northward claiming land from the Apalachees. After a series of brutal conflicts with the smaller tribes they establish the city of Timucua near modern day Jacksonville.  They proceed to conquer the rest of the peninsula.
  • Faroe: They revolt from the foreign powers and unify to create a Picto-Nordic island nation.
  • Tlapanec: They agree to this strange request by the Maya.
  • Gupta: They allow a Gerrhan presence in Barigaza, staffed with their traders but not directly under the Gerrhan kingdom. They agree to a peace deal with Goriwala and Kalinga.
  • Berbers: They are assimilated into the Atlas Roman Autonomous Republic peacefully.
  • Chandra: They form out of the collapsing Goriwala Kingdom.
  • Saxony: They collapse after an isolated plague mysteriously wipes out their population without spreading elsewhere.

Umoric Confederation (former) | Daevite Empire (now)[]

KDM Umor Daevites 8
  • Government: A tribal confederation, comprising of many families, their control over territory is decentralised, meaning Umor does not own this land due to nomadic lifestyles, but they control it as if it were part of an empire. The Daevite Empire is born, but that empire will not last for the next 100 years.
    • Matriarchs:
      • Chav (398 AD-422 AD)
      • Attilla (422 AD-present)
(or not, depending on how great the outlook is)
    • 16,000 horse archers
    • 12,000 horsemen/cavalry (comprised of spears, rarely long swords and daggers)
    • 5500 melee soldiers (comprised of spears, rarely long swords and daggers)
    • 4000 foot archers
    • 1000 sacrificers
    • Siege equipment such as ladders, battering rams and siege towers
    • Lots of catapults, some of them were built better than others.
  • Economy: The economy relies on basic subsidence and resources around the region. With the sacking of multiple villages and towns, along with the occupation, agriculture is being revived again, but for many of the Daevites, livestock is still predominant. No trade is observed from in and out of the Daevite Empire, largely because of the current state, which is basically destroying everything in one path.
    • Population: 2,100,000 (400,000 are of Daevite or half-Daevite [meaning those that were born from a Daevite father usually] descent, 1,500,000 are non-Daevites which are not considered slaves but forced to submit and 200,000 slaves)
    • Religion: 23% Blood Gods, 23% Astryianism, 3% Christian, 51% Other
    • Culture: 19% Daevite, 35% Yin-tsu/Tistuan, 23% German, 4% Roman/Latin, 5% Dacian, 14% Other
  • Events:
    • Astryianism: The religion of Astryianism spread with every slave and non-Daevite civilian who don't like the brutalities of the Daevite culture, but are influenced by that as a way 'to free themselves' from the oppression. Slave rebellion is impossible. But there is a chance that this religion could temporarily shine through the remains of the Daevite Empire once the empire collapses to its knees.
    • Attilla, Empress of the Daevite Empire: On the spring of 422, Attilla (intentionally spelt as that), the princess of all of the Umoric tribes has been coronated as the Empress of the Daevite Empire following the death of Matriarch Chav. Attilla, at the age of 23 was a bloodthirsty general too, seen in a horseback during raids about few years ago. In her childhood, she had absorbed much of the treasures that have been stolen by Daevites, travelling across with many of the priestesses to meet every single tribe scattered across the steppe and plains of their controlled territory. She would lead the Daevites into the attack of the Roman Empire for the first time in history, directly. She had heard of the legendary city of Rome and wanted to raze it down, but unfortunately historians can say that she will never reach Rome in time before her death.
    • Daevite Expansionism: The Daevites continued to push east and west. In the northern Caucasian mountains, the Romans might attack up north and push successfully with their tactics, but the Daevites can't attack south because of mountains that protect these settlements. However should they attack through there, they will be immediately torn down with horse archers and cavalry marching across these steppes.
    • The Sacking of the Roman Empire: The Danube river is a big problem, not only that the Romans could gain natural protection against their enemy once they reach the boundaries of the Danube river, the Daevites would need to cross it in order to further pillage settlements. Attilla devised plans as the Empress ordered not to destroy any bridges (these bridges were likely to be built in the late 4th century to expand Roman influence by road), although this meant that Romans could still take it to their advantage, she would order roads to be destroyed but keep bridges intact to slow down advancements of the Roman legion. This allows them to cross over the Danube. The Romans from the Bactrian War were already experienced in combat and are likely going to return to their home soon, so there is a threat that their experience could hinder Attilla's ambition to reach Rome. The Daevite Empire devises an 'all-out charge' against the Roman enemy, with the Romans probably going on a defensive tactic and cover themselves up from arrow attacks, which would be the problem for horse archers but since the Daevites are somewhat unorganised, a mix of archery and melee would be seen together. Large catapults built by Daevite engineers would tear down the core within initially with large boulders. Daevites began marching south and trying to use this tactic to tear down huge Roman legions, then occupy and pillage villages that are essentially Romanised, abduct some of their men to be sacrificed and take the remaining children as slaves in the region of Dacia and Pannonia. (I'm now gonna die in one second)

Sultanate of Muscat-Oman[]

  • Government: Absolute Monarchy (Sultanate)
    • Sultan: Noble Council (377 AD - 410 AD), Ilhar Ammaril (B 355 AD D 412 AD) (R 410 AD - 412 AD), Beizur al-Dimashqi (B 384 AD, still alive) (R 412 AD - Present)
    • Demographics (not including Suraban):
      • Population:
      • Muscat: 7250
      • Ibri: 4411
      • Salala: 3402
      • Duqm: 3124
      • Shoqra: 2030
      • Al-Mukalia: 1822
      • Tamreda (Hadibu): 1135
      • Sur: 1033
      • Rural areas (AKA everything else): ~100,100
      • Ethnicities: 70% Omani, 21% Surabanese, 7% Gerrhan, 2% Azd tribes,
      • Religion: 98% Zoroastrianism, 2% Other (Christianity, Paganism etc.)
    • Wars and Conflicts (italics: Potential War):
      • Army Reform: In line with the new Sultan, we reform more of our army.
      • Rebuilding the Navy: Our navy was very badly hit after the Bactrian War. Along with using our resources for more military purposes, we start to rebuild the navy. We will use much of the lumber we request to be traded. We also start building triremes.
    • Military: Our conscription law is ~11% of the population
      • Reformed Shielded Spearmen: 2255
      • Reformed Swordsmen: 3050
      • Reformed Bowmen: 2343
      • City Guards (found mostly in cities but smaller "squads" also exist in larger villages): 1201
      • Dromedary Forces: 1030
      • Sword Cavalry: 1011
      • Spear Cavalry: 833
      • Javelin Cavalry: 689
      • Javelineers: 601
    • Navy:
      • 60 transport ships (can hold around 8-12 men)
      • 170 trade ships
      • 110 warships (galleys pretty much)
      • 50 fire ships
      • 20 triremes
      • Although not part of the navy we have 400 fishing ships.
    • Diplomacy:
      • Gerrha: We shall support the Zoroastrians in your realm. Any other faith is blasphemy!
      • Neighbours: We would like to trade larger amounts of lumber from you.
    • Events:
      • Succession Crisis: The Noble Council decides to elect Ilhar Ammaril as Sultan. He rules for two years before being "mysteriously" assassinated. A noble by the name of Beizur al-Dimashqi uses several groups army men on his side to establish himself as the new Sultan in what is basically a coup-d'etat.
      • The New Sultanate: With a new Sultan, new regulations and laws are on the arrival. The Sultanate of Muscat-Oman becomes more militaristic, with Beizur publicly stating that he thinks the Sultanate should not have agreed to peace with Saba and Aksum. Conscription is increased to ~11% of the population. The new regime has made the realm somewhat divided.
      • Expansion: We expand our more narrow territories to the north.
      • Autonomous Region of Qata: Autonomy is revoked.
      • Assimilation and Religion: Beizur is a strong supporter of Zoroastrianism and along with his support to Gerrhan Zoroastrianism, attempts to spread it throughout the entire Sultanate and eliminate any other faiths. This goes along with him ordering a larger assimilation of non-Omani people. Even the Azd tribal people, who previous Sultans have considered to be "off-limits" and to be left alone in their own leisure, are being subjected to this.
      • Forced Migration to Sur: The settlement of Sur has gone slowly and thus forced migration is ordered so that Sur can become a proper city. After reaching over 1000 citizens, it is now considered to be as such.
      • Surabanese Groups: Any protests or the like caused by Surabanese Groups or associates are ordered to be cracked down upon.

  • Diplomacy:
    • Rome: HEEEELP!!!!
  • Events:
    • THREAT FROM THE STUPID CRINGY DAEVITES. Not only they burned our ancient capital, but they also threaten our existence. We can not stay without actins for long. We have to act. Now. Quickly. That's why a lot of troops were reqcuited. Even though it may harm the economy, it worth it. For the sake of Vedena!!!
    • Lutsk: The news about Lutsk have brought attention to the history of our ancient lands, including the idea of returning to the old lands of the strong ancient empire and finding out the reason of its fall.
    • Sticking to the Danube line: Danube is a perfect natural protection. Even though we may lose the territories, it is more important to defend our homeland in the middle of the hills, not the newly acquired lands past the rive.r
  • Features of Vedena:
    • City-states: our country is still full of little autonomous cities that have their own policies.
    • Latinisation: Our culture, which absorbed many traditions from Bonra, Slavokan, Tistu, Dacian, Esceosian, Illyrican, Gerios and especially Ancient Greek cultures, is now embracing latinisation and becomes closer to Rome.

Gerrhan Merchant Republic []

  • Government:
    • Protection of the Republic: We are in a state of war like never seen before. Raids are frequent, with thousands killed in many regions. Over 114,000 people have died in the last 25 years. There is no end to this dissent. We believe it is funded by many nearby nations, but we have no way to protect ourselves. Our troops are being checked for any checks and balances immediately, removed if needed, and changed for loyal troops

  • Military Operations and Events
    • The Spice Trade:
      • For the sake of a port and for the sake of stability: Our 10,000 troop Army of the Gulf is to stay in Barigaza to facilitate transports to Luluah, as it develops. We apologise to the Guptas for this circumstance, but hope they understand. A part of our Indian Navy has relocated to this area
    • The Scuttling:
      • State of the Gulfic Navy: Once the pride of our nation, the Gulfic Navy used to facilitate enough trade for our nation to expand to this point. Taking on the Arashenan Navy, the Aksumite Navy, the Saban Navy and the Qatan navy, these ships have great value. However, over the 100s of years of their existence, they have become old and had to be scuttled. The grand port of Grane, with its scores of Ship Builders are already on task to rebuild the navy, using the old woods of the Gulfic Navy
      • New Standard: We set up a new standard for ship building. Ships are to have sails and rowing capability. Ships should all be capable of travelling in the Southern Ocean. Large ships are to have small row boats, capable of harrassing other ships. All troops are to have axes, and every ship should have archers. This would reset our entire navy, but for now, the Gulfic Navy.
    • New Military Troops:
      • Reformed Gerrhan Bowmen: We have relied on Javelins a lot recently. However, the bows have a niche in our troops too. They have a larger range of attack and is deadly. Integrating these weapons, just like our neighbours, seems like a good idea.
    • Horn of Africa Expedition:
      • Sanctuary: The Adnanite Sipah has been disbanded, our population drop doesn't allow us to keep the troops employed. The New city of Al-Bahr is now a sanctuary in the face of the ongoing civil war. Many people facing damage, such as those in Susa, leave for this region. They come here because of the Nakhsha, which gave the people widespread knowledge of this region. This expansion in people causes a significant increase in size. The region still gets resources, since Al-Khor Proper and Grane, the biggest port, is protected by our troops, so they are open and safe to be used.
    • Exploration:
      • Sanctuary: Expands like the Horn of Africa Expedition, but at a much lower rate.
    • Religious Turmoil:
      Religious Map Turn 10
      • The Hamoukar Massacre and the Retaliatory Massacre: The Nabateans continued to escape war zones to the west, and come into our nation in waves. The Christians, looking at these people with resentment, in the village of Hamoukar, descend upon the Nabateans in a militia about 25,000 strong. The village and 381 villages surrounding it were burnt to the ground, with every man, woman and child killed, women raped, then killed. This resulted in over 50,000 murders. The Nabateans, understandably angered, attacked and burnt to the ground 259 villages, killing every man, and keeping every woman and girl, as young as 6, as a sex toy, a heinous crime. Raids across villages continue, but the dead here lie in empty villages, the corpses feeding desert wolves. Only a stench of decomposition settles the desert, the bodies of the dead men becoming fertiliser for the plants that are to colonise the land.
        Sacking of Kathe-0
      • The Sacking of Kathe: Kathe, a city surrounded by Assyrians but with Zoroastrian urban areas was the sight of horrifying destruction. The city was quite large, and home to a significant population. Gang violence in the city was rampant. However, the Zoroastrians effectively took the city, killing or removing all the Assyrian Men, and enslaving the Women and girls. The sight of an Assyrian girl, bloodied from wounds, being dragged onto the desert floor outside Kathe, only to be raped, repeatedly... and repeatedly, by various men. The young 13 year old eventually died under the men... yet it continued. A crowd of Assyrians saw this in horror, unable to do anything due to the presence of militias, sneering. The girls mother tried to stop the horror, only to be tied up, raped and tortured. The crowd of Assyrians dispersed, this had become their rallying cry, this story took them from gang violence to war. A large number of militias, 75,000 of them, gathered around Kathe with clubs and daggers, torchers and axes. The housing outside the walls were burnt to nothingness, but the men continued. The men reached the gates, climbing them with ladders. Every Zoroastrian Male around the western gate was dead. The city's residents were put through the same ordeal that the young Assyrian girl went through. The Assyrians reached the Zoroastrian temple, and burnt it, with the priests and priestesses inside. The shrieking of pain and agony swept through the city, the temple writhed in agony. The population of the city was cut short. From 50,000 people, the city had 32,000 killed, and 12,000 taken away as slaves and toys, with 6,000 remaining in the city, in a single city block, protected by militias. The ground was red with blood and agony, the city stained forever, as it burnt to cinder. Not even high stone walls kept these tensions away. Death swept like a swarm of locusts, stopping at nothing, and no one. Our Raiding Party rode from Gupta to reach Kathe before the tragedy stuck... they were too late. As they arrived into Gerrha, news broke of the devastation. They are to be deployed in Shapur Minor, and slowly make their way up to Assyria. For now, they are in Shapur Minor. (Side Note, remove Kathe from the map)
        Religious deaths Turn 10
      • The Christians of Awal: The Christians of Awal Island, after being looted by the nearby Zoroastrians, went for blood. The rich traders had a lust for gold that rivaled none, and with their gold stolen, anger rose. They financed large armed attacks into the rest of Awal Island, so much so that the Zoroastrians, which originally considered the Island a stronghold of Zoroastrianism, were now non-existent there. This increased the death toll above expected levels. The region is not too populated. However, the brutality of the attacks still left over 10,000 dead, and 16,000 in slavery.
      • Assyrian attacks towards Grane: Our troops from the Al-Khor Sipah were deployed to Grane, our biggest port. The city was built after our expansion, Assyrians and Zoroastrians lived together here since the city was built. This meant that the city had little to no violence. The Sipah is stationed around the city, for protection purposes. An army of 10,000 Assyrian Militias crashed into this army. However, this army withstood the attacks and kept them back. Heaven knows how long they can last. Our Assyrian Sipah is in Kandahar right now, resting, and setting up order.
      • The Blockade of Al-Khor Proper: The Gerrhan Republican Sipah, our elite guards, troops usually reserved for protection of the government, have had to be pulled into combat. They are blockading Al-Khor Proper, not allowing any troops or Militia in. They have experienced attacks and raid by various party, but the excessive training keeps them firm and strong. The rest of the land are Zoroastrians, so tensions are very low.

The independent navy stands at only 35 junks and 2 command ships, although they are the only part of the military allowed to buy or build ships at this time.

    • Diplomacy:
      • Nakoku, Hayato, Ryukyu: Considering the closeness of our nations, we propose that our nations enter a semi-union, in which Nakoku, Hayato and Ryukyu continue to control their domestic affairs as per normal but assist in foreign economic, political and military affairs for the whole region.
    • Events:
      • Northern Expansion Returns: Under Kohaku Karasuma, Tohoku again endeavours northwards, with it expanding towards the northern tip of Tohoku as well as using the Ensei-gun's naval forces to establish outposts in Southernmost Hokkaido and the island above it (Sakhalin).

    • Wars and conflicts:
    • Roman Expeditionary conflicts (280 to present) : Westrian auxiliery units aprox 60% of all troops are send out to fight for the Roman Empire in the eastern lands with their chief commander. The Westrian troops are doing very well in the more mountainous terrain as their homeland is full of mountains (particulary the Westrian homeland and nearby regions where most of the troops are from) and they are very used to it. Most of the troops are on their way home.
    • Umoric Invasion: The Invasion caught us by suprise, we had previously heard about some "barbarians" from Escosians fleeing inside our borders but we never expected them to be here right now and in such big numbers. Most people try to flee from them and try to get to the larger cities for protection. At the same time the royal court have decided to get away far from the invasion army and all the wealth and everything of value is taken with them for protection their first stop will be Munich and then they'll travel towards Rome. Meanwhile our soldiers prepare to defend the bigger cities and await roman assistance. Smaller groups of soldiers are also trying to plan ambushes on the mountain passages if they (the Daevites) manage to reach the mountains

Roman Empire []

  • Government: Imperial Dynasty. Absolute Monarchy.
    • Ruler (Emperor):
    • Arcadius (395 - 408)
    • Honorius (408 - 423)
    • Valentinian III (423 - present)
  • Economy: Roman coinage. Based around trade regarding farming, fishing, mining, and various other things. Major hubs around the Empire help provides for this. being at peace for centuries has allowed the Romans to slowly build their vast treasury (although inflation is also a problem).
  • Capital: Rome
  • Demographics:
    • Population: ~95 Million.
    • Soldiers: STANDING: 400,000+. 45 Legions, 6000 men each (270,000). 30 Auxiliary legions, 4000 men each (80,000), mercenaries/pioneers: 10,000.
  • Wars and Conflicts:
    • Roman Expedition (280 to present): The expedition is slowing down to a halt as most of the Roman legions are pulling out of the region. However, specialized auxiliary forces on horseback called Cataphracts (idea borrowed from Bactrians and Persians) are set up to maintain order in the region with quick responses. 5 new legions are raised as well among the local populace to help manage the cities. Total of 12 legions are stationed in areas between Persia and Bactria. Along with a dozen more auxiliary cavalry forces. Consolidation is underway
    • Umoric invasion (?? to present): Rumors of a scourge of God has surfaced among the traders that poured in and out of Rome. When traders from the Germanics stopped coming, the Romans gotten a little suspicious but were caught off guard when an invasion force numbering in thousands appeared on their doorsteps. Luckily, dozens of legions in Europe nearby are moving up to deal with the disaster. Total of 200,000 size force (half of the Empire's standing forces) responds to the Umor invasion to slow them down or LURE THEM INTO POSITIONS WHERE THEY COULD BE AMBUSHED. Romans do what they do best, they adopt new techniques and ideas, importing the cavalries from the east in order to counter and rapidly respond to the Umors.
  • Diplomacy:
  • Betmant tribes: We attempt to appeal to the tribes to join us as an autonomous province in promise of riches and "modernization". But in exchange, we'll need your hand to lend us some forces on horses.
  • ALL ROMAN AUTONOMOUS PROVINCES: If you wish to stay and fight, you can. But I reccommend to pack up most of your valuables and travel deeper into the Empire. Any forces  you can muster to stay and help push back to Umors will be appreciated. After all, it is me standing in between them and the Mediterranean.
  • Events:
  • Tibetan RAR: An attempt at organization of an autonomous province in order to "civilize" the Proto-tibetan tribes is made.
  • Absorbing the Afasevo: After taking time to consolidate territory over the years following the Bactrian War, the Romans wish to absorb the Afasevo tribes to the north in rumors of resources and good horses that may work for the war against the Umors
