The HexOp (short for Hexad Operative) bid for the 2021 Mapperdonian Sports Championships was announced on 24 August 2021. This bid marked the second time Orghurtia and the first time Rélam had sent one for any championships.

History

Background

Orghurtia has an (albeit short) history with submitting bids to host sports events: the first and latest of which was the Erzurum bid to host the third winter installment of the Mapperdonian Sports Championships. Though the bid turned out to be unsuccessful, evidence suggests that the country's Olympic and Paralympic committee, the Orghurt Paralympics & Olympics Committee, had been planning on submitting another bid to host a later installment of the Championships some-time after Sapporo was announced as the host city of the then-current installment of the event, though the exact timeframe and various other details remain unclear.

The O.P.O.C. later got into contact with the five other bidding countries' Olympic/Paralympic committees. Eventually, all six agreed on devising a multinational bid (the first of its kind within the Championships) for the event's next installment following approval of such an act by its then-committee president: Luna. The bid soon earned the name Hexad Operative (later shortened to HexOp) in reference to the number of bidding countries.

Host city decisions

Réla host city decision

The Réla host city for the HexOp bid was decided through (what was intended to be) further secretive internal bidding and was carried out by the Réla Olympic Committee prior to the HexOp bid's official announcement. As with the early origins of said bid, the exact timeframe of this and various other details remain unclear. It has been confirmed by all bidding countries' Olympic/Paralympic committees, however, that the above was done the earliest compared to the other five nations (having been speculated to have been so since in or around the second quarter of 2021.)

The logo for the bid was revealed on 25 August 2021. Its emblem consists of six humanoid pictograms (representing each bidding country) raising their arms & interlocking their nubs (where their hands would be) with other pictograms' nubs, forming an inward, non-outlined hexagram displaying an autumn leaf wiping into view & a summer sky dissipating. This references the Championships' delay into October.

The emblem also has a nearly un-noticeable warm tone applied to it, referencing the heat of summer and an association with autumn.

The wordmark, displaying a fire-like gradient with the bottom tip of the 'P' shaded (imitating burnt-ness) & a yellow glow behind the right end, was done by hand & isn't replicable with any known font.
