This is now an Inactive Map Game.

Disunity is a simple map game created by Endercube set in the early medieval British Isles. Players may sign up as any of the ancient petty kingdoms of England, Ireland, and Scotland.

The goal of the game is to unite the British Isles under your kingdom.

Early British Kingdoms-0

Political map.

Rules[]

  1. Don't be OP. (An example of this is instantly occupying/annexing another kingdom.)
  2. Your military has to be appropriate for the era. No planes, guns, nukes, or other modern things like that.
  3. You must stay on the British Isles! However, you can go on the Shetland and Faroe Islands, those are unclaimed. (The Orkney Islands belong to the kingdom of Cait.)
  4. You can join as a rebellion if you are defeated or you want to join but there are no nations left.
  5. Be realistic with your military, for example you can't have an army of 10 million soldiers in 600 AD.
  6. If you are a kingdom whose real history is known somewhat well, such as East Anglia, you can use real historical monarchs. If not, you can make up your monarchs. The events you make happen in your turn don't have to be historical.
  7. Ender will judge what is OP and unrealistic.

Capitals[]

Each kingdom has a capital. If you capture the capital, you will occupy the kingdom. Capitals are shown on the map as golden dots.

If your capital is taken and you are occupied, you will need to pay the other kingdom to keep some of your land. You can do this twice, and after that you are defeated.

Events and Turns[]

Each turn is the equivalent of 5 years.

To prevent turns from taking too long, turns can be made at any time during the specific turn. Players' moves will be put into action at the same time. Players that take too long will be skipped.

Wars and Battles[]

How to do your turn[]

Doing a turn is simple. There are 3 main things you can do:

Events - What's going on in the kingdom. Miscellaneous things that don't affect the map can be put here, like rebellions and new laws, or even disasters like famines. Basically anything important that happens in your kingdom can be put here.

Military - News relating to invasions of other kingdoms, or basically anything that has to do with your army. If you send your army to attack, you have to say how many troops you send. They will arrive next turn.

Negotiations - Alliances, trading, anything you want to say to other players.

An example turn, by Wessex[]

Events: Year 611 AD: King Ceolwulf dies, his son Cynegils succeeds to the throne. Cynegils has plans to agressively expand and invade other kingdoms, and starts building up the military in preparation of an invasion of the Sumorsaete. King Cynegils puts a law in place expelling native Britons from the kingdom. Most Britons leave and head for Dumnonia, but some refuse and a small rebellion starts. In the northwest part of Wessex, a small area wants to join the kingdom of Glywysing. King Cynegils decides to let them as he already has a lot on his hands with the Briton Rebellion and the invasion of Sumorsaete. The population is estimated at ~20,000.

Military: Our forces are currently made of 700 Swordsmen and 500 Spearmen. King Cynegils sends 100 Swordsmen and 100 Spearmen to crush the Briton Rebellion, and 1/2 of our remaining army to invade Sumorsaete.

Negotiations: We would like an alliance with the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms of Essex, Sussex, and Kent. We would also like to start trading with Essex and Kent. We also ask for King Cynan Garwyn of Powys's permission to move troops through his kingdom. We will do the same if he gives us permission.
