Denmark

Denmark is a nation in Scandinavia, and borders only Germany and Sweden. It also has overseas protectorates of Greenland and Faroe Islands. Denmark currently has a good economy and part of the EU.

History[]

Barbaric Times (100000 BCE to 900 CE)[]

Denmark was inhabited by early humans around 100 thousand years ago. The people who settled there were Germanics. The Germanic tribe that lived in Denmark were the Saxons. They invaded England around 400 CE and founded many small kingdoms. The Saxons the lost a war against the Frankish Empire, and formed the Kingdom of Denmark.

The Empire of Denmark (900 to 1815)[]

Denmark formed the Kalmar Union with Norway and Sweden, and Sweden left the Union, and Denmark and Norway united to form Denmark-Norway. Denmark-Norway was involved was 2 wars with Sweden, and helped France in the Napoleonic Wars, and lost its union with Norway as a result.

Modern Day Danes (1815 to today)[]

Denmark was neutral in World War One, but was invaded by Germany in World War Two. Denmark joined NATO, EU, and the UN.

Denmark's king becomes the king of Norway, and Iceland is invaded by the two nations, hence returning Iceland under Danish control. Denmark then annexes Norway, and asks Sweden to join the new Scandinavian nation. Sweden decides it was fine, so they join the new Scandinavia.
