Rules[]

  1. Don't be stupid. Do not do anything completely out of wack in your turn (e.g. Mongolia invades Cuba).
  2. Don't make your nation extremely powerful within a few turns or it will be considered overpowered and it will be subject to being nerfed or getting rebels.
  3. You can join as a vassal, however your actions will be extremely limited unless you try to gain full independence, however take in count that the nation that controls the vassal will surely try to crush the revolts.
  4. If your nation is defeated, you can rejoin as another country.
  5. One country is allowed per player, and each turn will last 2 days. Any person who doesn't complete a turn will be skipped. If you are skipped three times, you are kicked out of the game.
  6. No Nukes, It makes the game unfair. (What Happened to Peru in A World of War: World and Germany in The Future Revived (Map Game) is an Example)
  7. Alliances are limited to 6 countries. You may have many 1 on 1 alliances but do not have these act like one big alliance to get around the rule.
  8. You cannot switch as another nation while still playing (Unless if you are kicked or beaten).
  9. You can make a massive union with another country (player or NPC) however if neither countries has a similar language or/and culture revolts are way more likely.
  10. You can join as rebellions. However these rebellions have to be logical.
  11. Only Advanced Nations can colonize. (Note: Turkey can only colonize Africa).

  • Foreign Affairs: French troops march into Monaco, annexing the city. A few weeks later, more troops pour into Switzerland, taking Geneva and most of French speaking Switzerland. Non Dictateur Président Le Pen justifies this war by saying that the French culture must be united under one nation. Additionally, French forces start an invasion of Belgium, taking small areas near Luxembourg. They request alliances with Germany and Italy.

The communist party agrees to hold democratic elections in the country for seats in a parliament every 2 years. The first elections are held with the following results:
    • Chinese Communist Party: 26% of the vote. This is the former government of China.
    • Unified People of China Front: 54% of the vote. This party is both very imperialistic and wishes to reunite with Taiwan peacefully. They believe that all Chinese people should be united under one flag to ensure the dominance of China on the world stage. They believe in a Democratic Socialist style government.
    • The New Chinese: 19% of the vote. They also want to be isolationist in the world stage. They only care about internal problems and disregard external matters. They believe in heavy capitalism.
    • The True China Front: 1% of the vote. This is an extremist party. They believe that Chinese people are superior in every way. They want to conquer the world and wish to crush all opposition. They believe in heavy communism and military spending. They are very small right now but further problems with the stability of the nation may cause this party to grow in size

Saudi Arabia

  • Government:As the government sees it a problem that immigrants are the majority of the country and the Arabians aren't working the government decides to stop giving them money on an individual right.Altrough the Arabians are outraged by that they realize it fast that they need to work from now on and they do.For their work they get the standard of living which they had before.Immigrants must convert to islam if they want to stay. Most of them does but not all. Those who stay get improved standard of living and more humane treating.Due to them converting to islam the government cosiders them integrated.Saudi Arabia welcomes Syrian refugees into the country so most Syrians decide to go into Saudi Arabia instead of Europe because Saudi Arabia is richer and has the same language and culture. This makes the right wing parties of Europe significantly weaker except where they have already took power.

  • Economy:As everyone is militarizing the demand for oil is increasing which makes the Arabian economy grow. However to make sure that the Saudi Arabian economy keeps growing other types of industries are being developed. The new industries include: manufacturing (especially car manufacturing), banking and the service industry. Due to low income taxes the country gets a lot of foreign investments both in the newly developed industries and the oil industry. Due to its banking industry Saudi Arabia became the Switzerland of the Middle East.

Nubian Empire of the Nile (NE)

  • Government: Following the fall of the United Nations, Egypt sees this as a chance to expand, to regain their own glory once again. Although nowadays Egypt is more closer to the Arab world and views, the fall of the United Nations gives rise to the Egyptian Revivalism, that shows the end of the Arab views. Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the current President of Egypt, who is now supporting the views of Egyptian Revivalism, declares that Egypt will be renamed to Nubia and declares the Nubian Empire, with him as its first Emperor. The House of Representatives is renamed to the Imperial Senate and Sisi releases mass propaganda for Egyptian Revivalism. Although Cairo was already the capital of the nation, it is now declared as the Imperial Capital.
  • Conflicts:
    • Nubian-Libyan War (National: North Africa; 2016-Present): After the Nubian Empire is declared by Sisi, he almost at the same time declares war on Libya, which is currently in inner chaos. 100 000 troops are sent towards Libya to occupy their territory. The 100 thousand troops are divided to 10 divisions, each having 10 000 troops. The first three divisions are responsible for the near-coast and coastal cities in Eastern Libya. The remaining divisions are for capturing the inner regions of Libya, which is a large desert. In the first three week of the war, the troops in Libya captured the cities of Al-Jawf, Buzaymah, Al-Jaghbub, Jakharrad, Tobruk, Derna and Al-Bajda. Two months after the war started, the Nubian troops are already at the city of Benghazi, a large city of Libya. As the Libyan managed to gather 20 000 troops against Egypt, a large battle breaks out between the two armies, later known as the Third Battle of Benghazi (with the earlier two in the Libyan Civil War). As the Nubian Army is much stronger than the Libyan one and the amount of Nubian troops in the Third Battle of Benghazi were twice as much as the Libyan force, over 10 000 troops of the Libyan Army are dead while the remaining majority are injured, so they have no choice but to surrender. On the other end, only 3 000 people died from the Nubian side, and amount of injured soldiers are also smaller. As Nubia doesn't want prolonged war and they don't want to destroy all major Libyan cities, they urge Libya to join the Nubian Empire, which promises the Libyans Nubian citizenship, end of all internal conflicts and rebuilding and modernization (as much as Egypt can) of Libya.
    • Nubian-Jordanese War (Intercontinental: North Africa-Western Asia; 2016-Present): Although the previous Egyptian government and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan had good relations, after Sisi takeover, the relations between the two states became worse, especially in 2016. Not long after the declaration of the creation of the Islamic Caliphate, in order to gain territory, not let the Islamic Caliphate take more territory in the Middle East and to defend Jordan, the Nubian Empire declares war on the Kingdom as they wouldn't be able to maintain their independence against the Islamic Caliphate. 150 000 troops are sent through the Aqaba Bay through a land bridge to the land of Jordan. Due to the surprising attack, the Nubian Army occupies Aqaba and in two weeks the entire southern area of Jordan all the way up to Ak Kabak. During that time, the occupation of the city and the surrounding area is underway, but the Jordanian managed to gather 50 000 soldiers to defend the city and repel the Nubian forces. However, as the Nubian forces are overwhelming due to their technological and numerical superiority, 1 day after the battle started, the Jordanian forces decide to surrender as the almost three times larger Nubian Army managed to encircle them. Following this battle, which was later known as the Battle of Kabak, the Jordanian Army had no choice but to return to the capital to defend it, as by the end of the year, the territory owned by Jordan is only the northwestern area, with the capital Amman and the cities of Az Zarqa, As Salt and Irbid, as the Nubian Army also managed to occupy the northeastern part of Jordan. At this time, the Nubian Empire is asking Jordan to join the Nubian Empire. They promise Jordan autonomy similar to Sudan as both countries had good relations before and making the major cities of Jordan larger, including Aqaba, which is planned to be a major port in the Red Sea and the Aqaba Bay.
  • Diplomacy:
    • United States of America (USA): As they had relatively good relations before the fall of the United Nations, they are asking for a military alliance between the two nations and (( this is only if Asdf accepts the alliance )) USA helping to promote Nubian technology.
    • Sudan: As the two nations enjoyed intimate historical ties across most of history (the old Nubian era, the British rule and others), the Nubian Empire is asking Sudan to join the Empire, as they don't want to ruin their ties due to a war between the two nations. They promise Sudan several benefits and large autonomy (they will have as much representation in the government as the Egyptians) and the modernization of Sudan.
    • Persia: Following Qasem's visit to the Nubian Empire, Nubian-Persian relations are becoming better. The Emperor, Sisi, is also planning to go to Persia to see the change from the previous theocratic government in the next few years. There are plans for starting joint military exercise between to two nations, as during Qasem's visit, they agreed to the military alliance between the two nations for both countries' interests.
    • South Africa: Following Zuma's declaration for the South African Federation, it is supported by the Nubian Empire as both countries have similar interest. As for the invitation to the African Defense Pact (ADP), the Nubian Empire declines for now, but they accept Zuma's military alliance request. Sisi is also planning to go to South Africa following their expansion, similar to Persia.
    • Tunisia: As Tunisia is a small nation in Africa, and it will probably be colonized by the Western countries due to the fall of the United Nations, they invite Tunisia to join the Nubian Empire, with them having comparable autonomy to Sudan, if they also accept.
    • Islamic Caliphate: As the Nubian Empire has good relations with Persia, the relations between the newly formed Islamist state and the pro-Western Nubian Empire drop to similar level as between them and Persia. The other reason is their ambition in the Middle East would ruin its already broken stability.

Federative Republic of Brazil (note italics is you don't know)

  • Government:
    • Lustrian Revolution: The leading revolutionary of the Lustrian Revolutionary Organization surfaced at February 2016 under the "nom de plume" Luis Costa (actual name is Vitor Alvare Carredo; note this name sucks) and sent a message to her and give up. She backed down and called for a "takeover" when there's nothing happening apart from her impeachment. After the Panama Papers were exposed, Luis Costa launches a huge assault onto Brasilia and ambushed across the "house of Rousseff". Eventually they found her evacuating to Sao Paulo and mysterious disappeared as a captive. This led to a state of emergency at 16th May 2016, few days after she was last seen. She was later resurfaced around August, along with Luis Costa in a "propaganda video". She told Brazil that she is not ready to "get the hell out of here" but after brutal attacks launched by the LRO in urban areas of Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Florianopolis and Salvador, all combined given 1200 deaths and seizing few of the government officials loyal to her although reputation was driven down since taken captive. Luis Costa forced her to "resign" and give him rights of presidency although this was never made official as she told her, due to his repution to the general public in Brazil being quite low except to the members of LRO. Michel Temer, the vice president of Brazil has temporaily taken over the role of Brazil for now after the resignation having the reason to "simply dictate what he desired". The public now thinks an absolute monarchy should be in place after Michel Temer proclaims his position of "being second in line of presidency" and the Lustrian Revolutionary Organization insisted that the public should go for the renaming of Brazil to Lustria.
    • Reorganisation of States: Temer (the "dictator" of Brazil since August 2016) has simplified the regional system to just eight regions, Amazonas, Para, Pernambuco, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Mato Grosso and Bahia. These regions are reassigned to governors that are loyal to him as of August 2016 but half of them aren't efficient in managing and is always required by assistance. They are partially autonomous as to "satisfy the general civilians" except for Rio de Janeiro, which the government has moved from Brasilia to Rio de Janeiro once again and has direct control by Temer himself.
    • Propaganda: In order to keep things calm and normal as "usual" after the Lustrian Revolution, the government orders the national press and media to post propaganda across the cities to ease tensions and unrest after the revolution. This also led to the decrease of press freedom in overall as well as beginning to censor/block websites relating to the Lustrian Revolution to the general public and tourists, mostly in the Rio de Janeiro region, only the regions of Amazonas and Para are free from those censoring of this event as they are not mostly affected by the event. Until everything becomes stable again, this would continue for a while.
  • Military: Temer proclaims the country to be more militaristic than ever and starts developing their technology, including the investing of railgun research and expanding their army. Brazil has only one thing, survive and die "because this is just why should we restart"
    • Technology: Brazil increases funding onto military technology. They decide to go "rogue" and invest onto navy and air as well as the initial concept of a railgun, as well completely modernise their military akin to the top 5 or somewhere similar but that's a bit long way off although they do have probably more than a half of equipment as of 2016 being recently made from 2005, but will do anything to improve their military technologically.
    • Summary:
      • Personnel: The total of active soldiers is raised from 318,450 to 1,138,000 as to rapidly mobilise and unite South America slowly under their hands. Reserves drop from 1,340,000 to simply 520,000 due to their reserves fighting and mobilising.
      • Land / Brazilian Army (BA/EB): a
      • Navy / Brazilian Navy (BN/MB): a
      • Air Force / Brazilian Air Force (BAF/FAB): a
  • Conflicts:
    • Uruguay (October 2016-): The Brazilian military has planned to unite most of South America under one country, but the placeholder name of this empire would be "Latin Union" as no-one knows what it'll be anyway. The first attack starts in Uruguay, the air forcesh of Brazil launches to bomb the city of Montevideo and surrounding to reduce the morale of Uruguay. Brazil mobilises at November at the numbers of 790,000 and blitz through the country within three weeks. The city of Montevideo was then occupied by 19th December through the Battle of Montevideo, which lasted for eight days and resulting the deaths of 51,000 Brazilian soldiers and 21,700 Uruguayian (i hate it when i don't know the adjective) soldiers. The annexation is uncertain yet but will commence by net year but if don't want to be forced and integreated as an official region of Brazil, they can always accept Uruguay joining Brazil even though they are occupied and they might refuse it. They began setting strategic plans led by commander in-chief Temer to invade Paraguay, Suriname and Guyana as their next targets.
  • Regions:
    • Region of Rio de Janeiro: The "centre of Brazil" and the region is directly controlled by Temer and the government so it is considered a core region. Overall the region is designated as an "immigrant region", tourism and businesses. The immigration part is to allow the increased growth of population in those megacities of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo to spread across the region, turning it into a mostly industrialised and modernised region. Some outskirts of three major cities have military factories underway construction for mass production but frown by some civilians.
      • Imperial Capital of Rio de Janeiro: The capital of Brazil. As war starts, the Rio Olympics were immediately cancelled if it were still there and instead invest into military factories, telecommunications, businesses and tourism to boost their economy expodentially and for military factories, to get labour and mass production although some frown it upon. Gambling is also becoming popular in the inner part of the city itself, thus increasing crime rates by 12.1% this year, concerning it would become unsafe for immigration but the government is currently not responding for now. The Lustrian Revolutionary Organization calls Rio de Janeiro once as "Zoochtoflia" due to Luis Costa being a long-term "Disney fan" according to leaked files since August 2016. Coal, oil and gas power plants are beginning to be decommissioned.
      • City of Sao Paulo: Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro's population gap is closing in and by now Sao Paulo has a population of 21.4 million and Rio de Janeiro having 12.9 million. Like the capital of Rio de Janeiro, it invests telecommunications, industry, finance and technology instead of tourism but military factories are also built in the area not to mention the city has a lot of people available to work here.
      • City of Vitoria: Current population is around 2.14 million. The city is invested into tourism, military industry and partially fishing and intiated a modernisation program. The modernisation program aims to make the city have a better quality of life and infrastructure and boost economy through tourism.
    • Province of Amazonas: Known for it's wildlife, forestry has being increasing exponentially for economy and farming. This led a concern to the region and has passed laws to reduce the cutting of trees and transition from consumerism to a more "eco-friendly" region. This may take five years or so to get the campaign successful.
      • City of Manaus: a
    • Province of Para: Similar to Amazonas' environmental campaign, but is less concentrated. The Brazilian government designates the region for agricultural purposes but willing to think of a way to keep wildlife safe and move into the region of Amazonas. This may alert some animal rights activists on forcing wildlife to migrate into the province of Amazonas, but the Brazilian government thought it would be better to make the region simply focused on agriculture and also forestry.
      • City of Belem: a
    • Province of Pernambuco: Agriculture is now prioritised here, but mall businesses develop in the capital of the region Recife.
      • City of Recife: a
    • Province of Minas Gerais: The region concentrates on business and research, but military factories will be built in Brasilia to keep up with the region of Rio de Janeiro's high development level, the same purpose that will happen to Rio Grande do Sul.
      • City of Belo Horizonte: a
      • City of Brasilia: a
    • Province of Rio Grande do Sul:
      • City of Porto Alegre: a
      • City of Florianopolis: a
    • Province of Mato Grosso:
      • City of Cuiaba: a
    • Province of Bahia:
      • City of Salvador: a
  • Demographics: Population grew from 205.338 million to 211.983 million this year.
    • Religion: Roman Catholicism is on the rise and Protestantism remains strong for now, yet other forms of Christianity or Spiritism has being declining ever since this year but however people are slowly becoming atheist by current trends but people are strangely having a habit of worshiping the Flying Spaghetti Monster at mostly rural regions of Para and Pernambuco. Overall demographics as of December 2016 are, Roman Catholic (65.3%), Protestant (6.4%), other forms of Christianity (12.9%), Spiritism (1.2%), Irreligious/Agnostic (10.3%), other religion [Islam, Hinduism, "Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster"/Pastafarianism] (3.9%)

Republic of Singapore

  • Government: The government becomes more liberal, but they still ban the chewing of gum. In June, Singapore sends a proposal to Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Papua New Guinea, and Timor-Leste to unite. Their reason is because Southeast Asia needs to be united in the midst of the imperialism. With this new union, the countries can go very far together; They can innovate in technology, increase the quality of living and military, and coordinate foreign policy together. If everyone accepts this proposal, a referendum will be held on the top three names and the capital, which will be either Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, or Singapore.
  • Economy: More buildings are built, and all the islands of Singapore are further developed. The economy booms as a result, because many are moving to Singapore for business. Because of this, Singapore becomes one of the top 5 business capitals of the world. Singapore also begins projects for tourists including beautiful parks and even the tallest building in the world. This building will be called Singapore One, and it will be located here. Construction has begun and is expected to finish by 2021.
  • Military: The military of Singapore is arguably the most advanced in Southeast Asia with the newest of technologies being implemented in case Singaporean forces need to fight. The total Singaporean army is currently 504,000, but it is raised to 510,000 due to the sudden increase in imperialism throughout the world. Many reserve personnel are put into active.

Unitary Parliamentary Constitutional Empire of Japan

  • Government: The Emperor and Prime Minister of Japan meet in Tokyo for a historical meeting about the current government type of Japan and talk about the future of Japan, later that day the Emperor of Japan decided to announce the new Parliamentary Republic Japan will form into within the next 5-10 years. He also says he will no longer be a monarch and move on to being a part of the parliament working along side the Prime Minister of Japan.
  • Economy: More companies are gaining money and so is the government, currently Japan has had its economy at an all time high within the past 15 years, Japan looks forward to start paying off some of their debt. The Prime Minister of Japan says "This is a miracle for our country, and we seek to have more miracles happen to our country".

Persia (Iran)

  • Coup d' Etat: In the first days of 2016, the hing-ranking Iranian General called Qasem Soleimani stages a coup against the current Iranian government with support of the military. The Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei, is arrested by Qasem and afterwards Qasem successfully seizes control over Iran. The current president, Hassan Rouhani, is allowed to keep his position, but he is practically turned into a puppet since he has to ask Qasem about every decision he makes. After this, Qasem becomes the new Supreme Leader, but he changes the government structure massively, renaming the country to Persia. Qasem announces that he will left power once the country is stabilized, and he even invites the former heir of Iran's crown to return, Reza Pahlavi II.
  • Government: Qasem starts changing the government structure slowly, removing Khamenei's supporters from the Persian Maijilis and other government positions, placing his supporters to replace them. In order to ensue loyalty from the Military sector, Qasem raises the salary of all Persian soldiers, and he spreads propaganda, calling the old government corrupt and praising the recent coup. Later on, Qasem changes Persia's foreign policy, taking a more pro-west stance by reestablishing relations with a bunch of European countries and the USA. Qasem also begins to make Iran a more westernized country, slowly advancing into areas such as secularism, religious tolerance and freedom of speech, in contrast with the old extremist government. Qasem's long term plan is re-establishing monarchy in Persia by having Reza Pahlavi as the rightful monarch, but also maintaining the Parliament.
  • Military: With imperialism rising around the world, Qasem decides to enforce conscription, and he also spreads propaganda praising the armed forces and calling Persians to protect the Motherland all over the country. The number of active military personnel reaches 570,000 by the end of the year, and the number of the Persian reserves remains at 1.8 million, however, more of them are receiving training to become part of the active personnel soon. The Navy and Air Force are also increased, building more ships and aircraft at a faster rate.
  • Economy: The Persian economy is increased as it is now open to the Western world once again, allowing foreign companies in the country. Now sanctions should be removed because of the government change.
  • Diplomacy:
    • USA: Persia increases relations with the USA in order to fix the damage caused by past tense relations, anti-American propaganda is removed across the country, and Qasem tries to promote a positive image of the USA among Persians. Persia also starts to trade oil with the USA, as the Arabians threatened to cut the supply
    • NATO: Persia increases relations with all countries in NATO, as they see them as a better alternative to the Eurasian Union, from which the Islamic Caliphate is part. Persia requests an alliance with all countries in NATO and promises lower oil prices.
    • Iraq: Persia keeps the previous good relations with Iraq and continues to intervene against ISIS, coordinating with Iraqi forces. Qasem visits the country later on, and he proposes creating the Persian Federation, composed by Persia and Iraq. Iraq would keep autonomy and would be allowed to choose their own government, but they would be united with Iran. Qasem highlights the cultural and religious ties between the two countries and the threat of the Islamic Caliphate, hoping that Iraq will accept such Union.
    • Syria: Despite becoming pro-West, Persia continues to support Assad's government against the Islamic State and the FSA, urging them to not join the Islamic Caliphate and highlighting the tense relations between Assad's government and Erdogan in Turkey. Persia also accepts Syrian refugees after making an agreement with the Syrian government.
    • China: Persia accepts their request for joining the Asian alliance, hoping to increase the relations between the two nations to counter the Islamic Caliphate.
    • Russia: Since Persia is now pro-West, relations with Russia decrease a bit, but Persia still wants to keep good relations with them, so they request a non-aggression pact.
    • Islamic Caliphate: Relations become tense as the IC threatens Persia with war and because Persia views them as rivals, and an huge menace to the Middle East stability.
    • Nubian Empire: Qasem visits the Nubian Empire this year, hoping to increase relations, he proposes a military and economic between the two monarchies, offering lower prices as well. They state that the IC is a threat and that an alliance between Nubia and Persia could be a good way to counter their rising power.

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

  • Government: Queen Elizabeth II comes down with lung cancer in early August of the year. While still alive, she is extremely ill and is not estimated to survive for another two years. Prime Minister David Cameron sees this as an opportunity to strengthen the government of Britain. With the consent of most of Parliament, Cameron proclaims the transition of the United Kingdom to a more centralized state, forming the Republic of Britain. The monarchy is also to be disbanded at the death of the queen. Cameron proclaims himself Supreme Representative, with the powers of ruling for his entire life and control over the armed forces and foreign policy, and limited control in domestic policies. The new British Parliament would consist of 40 MPs, with 10 each from the states of England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. Parliament would have the ability to pass laws, and currently only the top 40 most liked members are picked, and elections will occur in 2018. Immigration is requested, and about 400,000 immigrants enter Britain this year, with most being Syrian.
  • Diplomacy:
    • The Formation of the Global League:

Following this declaration, the amount of recruitment is increased. By the end of the year, the South African National Defence Force has 156 000 active frontline personnel and another 50 000, whom are reserve personnel.
  • Economy: Along with the end of the United Nations, the economic alliance of BRICS also ends. Although South Africa was the smallest of the five nations in every aspect, they were the one with the biggest growth. The GDP of South Africa grows from 726 billion USD to 807 billion USD.
  • War against Lesotho and Swaziland: As both small states are almost encompassed by South Africa, they are quickly taken over and annexed into South Africa.
  • Diplomacy: Following the fall of the United Nations, the diplomatic view of South Africa changed.

Austria:

  • Diplomacy:
    • Hungary: A union between the two nations is requested. (aka Austro-Hungary) If they decline, an alliance is requested.
    • Switzerland: Austria will allow Switzerland to smuggle any French-speaking Swiss people across the Austro-Swiss border to protect them from France, but once the war is over, any Frenchies that were smuggled will be returned to France.
    • Germany: An alliance is requested.
  • Government: Austria's second round of presidential elections take place. Norbert Hofer, of the FPÖ party, wins the election over Alexander Van der Bellen and the rest of the candidates. Norbet immediately makes a new law where smokers can only smoke in designated "smoking areas" in order to prevent exposure to non-smokers. In apartment complexes, smokers may only smoke in their unit and not, say, the lobby.
  • Warfare/Military:
    • Operation Slowakei: Operation Slowakei is announced, and action is planned to be taken on it as soon as Hungary replies to the union request.
    • Operation Slowenien: Operation Slowenien is put into effect, and by protocol, a force of 15,000 Austrian soldiers invades Slovenia, absolutely decimating the Cold-War era technology of the Slovenians. The small country is fully occupied by the end of the year and is planned to be annexed next year.
  • Economy: Improves by a bit.

Republic Of Italy:

Military:

  • Active Personnel: At the beginning of 2016 Italy only had 320,000 active personnel, by the end of it, it had 400,000 active personnel. This has been increased due to the country becoming more imperialist.
  • Reserve Personnel: 42,000 personnel by the beginning of 2016, 90,000 personnel at the end of 2016.
  • Military Equipment: More equipment is being made to accommodate with the rapid increase of military personnel
  • Invasion of Slovenia: After Austria invaded Slovenia, a week after, Italy invaded Slovenia too, this is to gain border territories and expand their territories. The main goal though is to gain a border with Croatia due to future plans for Italy, 200,000 personnel flood through the borders of Slovenia.
  • Air Forces: Italy doesn't fair well with air, It doesn't have many air forces. This year however Italy decides to focus on air, and navy. The air forces increase to a number along the lines of 700 - 800 (Not exact number, you'll need espionage for that lel)
  • Land Forces: More towed artillery and tanks are built, 30 Towed artillery and 25 tanks to be precise.
  • Naval Forces: Italy focusing on its navy begins to build Destroyers, and submarines. 3 destroyers and 40 submarines to be exact.

Industry:

  • Military Factories: More efficient military factories are built, due to this more equipment is to spare.
  • Civil Factories: Civil factories are built in low populated areas to make population lower in densely populated areas. The factories being built are to focus on things Italy doesn't have much of.
  • Resources: Italy has few natural resources, not much land to be used for farming. There are no substantial deposits of Iron, coal, or Oil. Proven natural gas reserves , mainly in the Po Valley and offshore in the Adriatic, constitute the country's most important mineral resource. Most raw materials needed for manufacturing and more than 80% of the country's energy resources are imported to other countries.

Economy:

  • GDP per capita: (insert economy stuff)
  • Infrastructure: More buildings are being built for Italy, mainly for trade and tourism to increase the country's GDP amount.

Government:

  • Laws: Laws are being made, specifically to stop drug use and smoking.
  • Propaganda: Propaganda, used to maintain nationalism and to make the people join the army, THOUGH it's not attracting a lot of attention. Propaganda is also being made using phrases like "Our Lost Empire" "The men in battle we lost" 'The Italian Empire will be revived"
  • Espionage: Spy's are recruited throughout the country, to silence opposition and to make the country more stable, however though we might use it for stabilization of our country, we also use it to ensure rebes in Constantinople, Greek rebels to be exact, we fund and give them military support, though not heavily (Note that no one knows about this, and if it was discovered in one turn then you're being OP af)
  • Stability: While being military active and using spies to eradicate opposition, there may still be opposition undiscovered, with the propaganda it's being lessened but not at a great rate. The government decides to make an anti-opposition team thing, much like the Soviet Union had, though not as brutal.

Diplomacy:

  • UK: We join the alliance proposed by the UK
  • Slovenia: War is declared.
  • Austria: While Austria declared war on Slovenia, we declared war, too. The peace treaty is that Italy gains border territories and enough territory to gain a border with Croatia, Austria can have the rest.

Military Technology: We increase our funding on military technology, we also begin to grasp the basic concepts of a rail gun, while also focusing on the Air and Navy.

Germany

  • Government & Politics: In early March, the current president of Germany, Joachim Gauk, dies from a heart attack, a big funeral is made and it is transmitted in the German national TV, with thousands of people present in said funeral. The sudden death of Joachim leads to a crisis regarding how the next president should be chosen, with some people thinking that ir should appointed by the Bundestag and some others suggesting a vote. Angela Merkel proposes a bill that would merge the powers of Federal Chancellor and President of Germany into one office temporarily, with the excuse of stabilizing the government until the government decides how to elect the next president. The Bundestag passes said bill with an extremely small margin, since the SPD and other opposition parties such as Die Linke (The Left) voted against said bill. Eventually, Merkel is named Bundeskanzler und Bundespräsident der Bundesrepublik Deutschland" (Chancellor and President of the Federal Republic of Germany) or Kanzler und Präsident der Deutschland (Chancellor and President of Germany) for short. The movement becomes very controversial, as Merkel now has absolute power, opposition parties compare her to Hitler, claiming that she is trying to become a "Führer". Later on, the SPD breaks relations with the Coalition Government of Angela Merkel as a result of this move, leaving the "Grand Coalition" formed earlier. In order to counter this, the Christian Social Union in Bavaria (CSU) merges with Merkel's party, the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), still holding a majority in the Bundestag. As for the attacks launched at Merkel, she responds by stating that the merging is only temporal, but that she will still run for Chancellor and President next year, but leaving the President office as soon as she is elected in order to leave someone else hold the charge once again.
    • Großdeutschland: After the entire drama about the President and Chancellor offices merging, Merkel begins to apply a bunch of brand new policies. Syrian refugees received in 2015 and early 2016 will be allowed to stay and earn German citizenship but Germany will not receive more refugees from now on. Merkel states that this is done to prevent Islamic extremism from entering Deutchsland, quoting the November 13 and March 22 attacks in Paris and Brussels as examples. The refugees receive economical aid and most of them are able to afford a decent home and life by the end of the year, however, the German government seeks to "Germanize" and "integrate" the refugees, so all of them are forced to learn German and follow German traditions, although they are still allowed to follow their own religion, but Christianity is promoted among their communities as an alternative to Islam, especially for children. Nationalist and patriotic propaganda also becomes increasingly common as a New Imperialist Era begins in the entire world, the propaganda is secretly used to brainwash the German population, in order to make them feel proud of their country and encourage them to join the Armed Forces. This propaganda is mostly secretly placed in social media. At the same time, the German government tries to stop demonizing concepts such as "Reich", "Großdeutschland" and "Führer", using a variety of arguments, such as saying that the concepts are misunderstood and that they are not "evil" themselves, but that Nazis made them bad. Merkel also makes a series of speeches promoting pangermanism, stating that all Germanic people should be united into one banner, as they're all brothers.
  • Military: Merkel increases the military budget in response to imperialism rising all over the world. Compulsory conscription is also reinforced after it was suspended in 2011. Merkel hopes to increase the number of military effectives with the use of propaganda and the enforcement of compulsory conscription. The Navy and the Air Force also receives huge quantities of funding.
    • Heer (Army): The number of active military personeel is quickly raised to 210,000 after enforced conscription was put in effect. Germany prepares to massively increase the number of military personeel by movilizing the German population, since the current number of the military is not enough to cover German ambitious. As for the reserves, they are increased to 50,000 and plans for making them active begin. Land military vehicles are also increased, with the Schützenpanzer Puma being mass produced. The Puma is one of Germany's most powerful and recent tanks, they are expected to renplace all old german tanks in order to increase their military strenght.
    • Luftwaffe (Air Force): Although the Luftwaffe is among the best-equiped Air Forces around the world, aircraft unserviceability is a common issue. Because of this, the Lieutenant General (and current commander of the Air Force) Frederik Von Sttugart begins a program for modernizing the Luftwaffe by replacing the old and nonfunctioning aircraft with brand new aircraft. After receiving increased funding from the Federal Government, the modernization project begins, and old aircraft is being gradually renplaced and modernized.
    • Marine (Navy): A similar project is done for the Marine. Old ships will be gradually replaced by new models in order to catch up with the rest of Europe. Germany starts building more submarines, as they want to have an strong enough Navy.
  • Wars & Conflicts:
    • Invasion of Ghana: In early March, the German marines start getting closer and closer to Ghanian coasts. The movement doesn't goes unnoticed by Ghana, but before they can even do anything, 90,000 German troops land in Ghanan coasts along with 50 tanks and a couple trucks. The Germans quickly seize coastal cities, taking Accra with Luftwaffe support by September. Since the Germans are superior to the Ghanians in practically everything, around two thirds of the country are occupied by the end of the year, with only an small resistance in the northeast still in feet.
    • Intervention against the Islamic State:: The Luftwaffe conducts airstrikes against ISIS, mostly focusing in Iraq as a way of improving relations. 3,000 german troops are also sent to fight ISIS in Iraq under the command of Persian-Iraqi generals.
  • Economy: As the European Union has collapsed and the Euro is near collapse as well, Germany adopts the Mark once again. Everything else stays the same, with the economy growing at an slighty faster rate thanks to trade with members of the GL.
  • Diplomacy:
    • France: Germany asks them to only annex the french-speaking parts of Switzerland and to leave the remaining parts alone, as they're Germanic as well.  Besides of that, relations remain friendly as the two countries are part of the Global League.
    • Switzerland: Since Switzerland is under French attack, borders are opened completely and humanitarian aid is sent to the Switz population.
    • Global League: Relations increase with all members of the Global League.
    • Luxembourg: Since Luxembourg is a fellow germanic country, Merkel invites them to join Germany in order to create the Germanic Federation. Merkel states that Luxembourg should do this because otherwise they could get conquered soon, quoting Belgium as an example.
    • Netherlands: Merkel visits Netherlands this year, signing a defensive pact with the Dutch leader in response to the recent events in Belgium. Germany also requests open borders, since the Schengen Area is probably not in effect anymore. In hope to increase relations further, Dutch is now being taught in German schools more often. The real motive for all of this is that Merkel plans to integrate the Netherlands into the Germanic Federation in a couple years.
    • Austria: Open borders, free trade agreement and alliances are signed. Germany also supports Austria in their invasion of Slovenia by sending some Luftwaffe forces to bomb Slovenian resistance.
    • Greece: Relations increase and an alliance is signed.
    • Persia: Merkel visits Persia to see the differences with old Iran and then signs an alliance.
    • Nubian Empire: Relations increase with the rising empire and an alliance is signed.
    • Japan: An alliance is signed and a "huge secret plan" is done along with Italy.
    • Islamic Caliphate: Germany is neutral to the Islamic Caliphate for now, although they do support Nubia and Persia, which are their rivals.
    • Angola: Germany asks to buy the Cabinda enclave for 40 million Euro, as it has no practical use for Angola. Adittionally, Merkel proposes a "personal gift" of 10 million Euro to the Angolan president if he accepts the deal.
    • Namibia: Germany sends a sudden ultimatum to Namibia demanding that they do not join the union proposed by South Africa, otherwise there will be war.
    • South Africa: Germany is not happy with South Africa trying to stop european expansion in Africa since they already had plans for Namibia. However, Germany decides to work out a deal rather than downright invading South Africa; Germany will withdraw their ambitions in Namibia and they will let them join the Federation if South Africa agrees to transfer an small portion of Namibia to Germany (around half of the Karas Region). Said land will become the nation of German Namibia, and all ethnic germans living in the rest of Namibia would be sent there, and the natives in German Namibia would be given the choice of staying or moving to the South African Federation. German Namibia would act as an overseas territory of Germany. Germany also states that if they do not accept the deal, anything could happen, since Germany could bring an entire European coalition to colonize South Africa. Another part of the deal is that South Africa should not expand into Tanzania or the DRC (they're free to expand anywhere else). If all the parts of the deal are accepted, Germany will increase relations, sign an alliance and possibly help South Africa in their effort of uniting the southern part of Africa by giving them some technologies.

What remains of ISIS in Iraq regroups in Mosul, struggling to prevent the liberation of the city. By the end of the year, ISIS only controls around 8% of Iraq's territory, mostly in the surrounding areas of Mosul. However, Syria is a different story; Since Assad's government still refuses to cooperate with the West and little action has been taken against them, ISIS sees an huge growth in Syria this year. They destroy the moderate opposition almost completely, and start massacring Kurds without mercy, sieging the city of Kobani once again. By the end of the year, ISIS had effective control over all of Eastern (except for some Kurd parts in the north) Syria and huger parts of Southern Syria, holding into around 63% of the Syrian territory. However, this results in the creation of underground islamist organizations, including the branch of the Islamic State in Bangladesh, the Bengal Caliphate, which is now receiving support of some people, although all of this is hidden because of the ban.
  • Nepal and Buthan: The Indian measures have some effects in the two countries, as they're starting to have the need of joining a bigger power in ordee to survive. They do not ask to join with them, but they would if India asks.
  • New Zealand: New Zealand accepts the Australian proposal for creating an Oceanian Commonwealth, although they're unsure about including "Socialist" in the name.
  • Hungary: The Hungarian government decides to merge with Austria to form Austro-Hungary, as they think that larger unions are needed to survive in the new era of Imperialism. (I used a RNG to decide this because I have no idea if Austria and Hungary would merge nowadays and I don't care enough to investigate)
  • Belgium: By the end of the year, France manage to occupy the entiee country. However, even though the french-majority areas support the move and they could be easily integrated, the Dutch and German parts are very unhappy, and revolts could appear.
  • Netherlands: They denounce the invasion of Belgium, however they do not do anything else as they could be taken over by France if they do. Netherlands increases relations with Germany and signs an alliance after seeing what happened to Belgium.
  • Moldova: Since the world is not a place for small countries anymore, Moldova decides to merge with Romania because of their cultural tie, similar to Luxembourg and Germany.
  • Luxembourg: Luxembourg decides to accept the German request for creating the Germanic Federation, since they're afraid of getting conquered due to being so small.
  • Switzerland: Since Bern was probably taken by the French, the Swiss government moves the capital to Zurich, and from there they accept the German proposal about vassalization in order to avoid a complete take over from the French. Relations with Austria (now Austro-Hungary) also increase because of their support in the war.
  • Kazakhstan and Belarus: Both countries agree on joining the alliance proposed by Russia, the Eurasian Commonwealth, since they're practically russian puppets politically sepaking.
  • Estonia and Lithuania: Both Baltic nations decline the Russian proposal for joining the Eurasian Commonwealth, as they feel threatened by them and don't really like Russia at all. They urge Latvia to do the same.
  • Mexico: After Donald Trump invaded Mexico and occupied the Baja California peninsula, two mexican rebel groups appeared; The Rio Grande rebels and the Zapatista Army of National Liberation (EZLN). The Rio Grande rebels are pro-american and they seek to establish an independent nation in the northeast of Mexico known as Rio Grande Republic, but unser American protection (a puppet/protectorate). The Rio Grande rebels revolt in the city of Monterrey, and then spawn in other cities such as Saltillo and Reynosa. After gathering support from local police and military forces, as well as some drug cartel members, they manage to take control of more cities in the northeast, notably Nuevo Laredo, Anáhuac, Piedras Negras and Matamoros. By the end of the year, the Rio Grande rebels had effective control over all of northeast Mexico. The EZLN in the other hand is anti-american and they seek to kick out the americans from Mexico in one way or another. They also depise the Mexican government due to their lack of response to the American invasion. After receiving support from the newly formed USCA, the EZLN takes control of the state of Chiapas and later on of the Yucatan peninsula under the lead of Subcomandante Marcos, gaining a lot of popular support in the traditionally leftist mexican south. As fot the Mexican government, they are unable to defend the northern border anf they pull out their troops from there, allowing the americans to take Baja California and Sonora while the Rio Grande rebels seize control over the northeast. In the border of collapse, president Peña Nieto regroups all mexican froces to defend the port of Veracruz and make a last stand in Mexico City.
  • Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica:  As central american countries feel threatened by American expansionism, they agree on forming the United State of Central America (USCA). The USCA starts to prepare for a possible american invasion, and they support the EZLN rebels in southern Mexico to try to counter americans.
  • Panama: Panama requests an alliance with Colombia, and they begin to improve relations with them. They also decide to not join the USCA, as they feel like they're closer to Colombia.
  • Cuba: Cubans conduct guerrilla warfare operations against the american invaders, succesfully retaking some of their territories in the northeast. However, 80% of Cuba is under effective american control.
  • Argentina and Bolivia: As a result of the new wave of imperialism, Argentina declares war on Chile along with Bolivia, making a surprise attack. Since the Chileans were not prepared for such attack, cities like Antofagasta fall quickly, with most major cities under control of the Argentine-Bolivian coalition by the end of the year. Santiago is besieged by Argentine and Bolivian troops, while the rest of Chile has been already occupied, with Bolivia occupying the north and Argentina the south. Argentina and Bolivia also increase relations with each other, signing an alliance. Their ultimate (and secret) goal is to create a "Latin Union".
  • Chile: The chileans suffer massive casualties and are unable to coordinate a good defence. They are defeated in practically all battles, and only hold into Santiago by now. However, hoping to change the tide of the war, Chile requests Brazilian and British intervention against Argentina and Bolivia as a last resource.

Currently the government is deciding how the President will be picked. The parliament will begin deciding on who will be the first President. Many Japanese people want a vote. The parliament has said that they should and it should be picked by the Parliament. Currently the parliament requests for the Prime Minister to be President. The Prime Minister strongly agrees, he says that having him as president would feel like old Japan. A lot of the Japanese people disagree saying that the former emperor should be the president. They also feel like the Prime Minister would be like a dictator if he were to be president. Currently the Prime Minister is gaining a lot of power and a lot of people would agree.
  • Economy: The Japanese Industry is beginning to stay steady not having major gains and major losses. The Prime Minister spoke out about the economy for a second time saying that the economy is at its peak and it's gods gift to our country. Famous politicians in Japan say that the economy is not at its peak, they also say that the Prime Minister is simply trying to make it look as if he's the one to be president and the perfect economist. The Parliament disagrees with these famous politicians saying "He's not doing anything, he's just speaking the truth". Governmental Intelligence Agencies have publicly showed Japans economic growth, in 2016-2017 it shows a major spark of growth. Some say this is false information.

At first the people of China begin to rise up and protest but the Elder of the Guī family announces that new social security programs are going to be in place, more freedom, the great firewall will be destroyed. This causes a majority of protests to die down. This forms a new dynasty for China.

They will be equipped with Flak cannons, Heavy cannons on the front. Each tank will be able to hold two squadrons of soldiers with deployable cover on its doors. France

  • Economy: Due to less regulation and taxes, several businesses move overseas and into France. The Chemical Industry experiences a slight boom. Atomic power previously used for nuclear weapons is being converted into energy. (Not sure what to put here, either.)

    • Switzerland and Belgium: They annex the French speaking areas, and pay them fairly to help them get back up.

United Commonwealth of Lustria (UCL; or commonly as Lustria) (Italics is you don't know in gameplay)

  • Summary (Eric4e style): Infrastructure, economy, military and technology improve. Population grows quicker and returns to birth levels to two children per couple, schools, residential, cultural and factories with lesser pollution including the military ones are built. The southern regions continue to modernise and high-rise skyscrapers are built, including sections of residental, commerical and public ones. Temer proclaims himself as "absolute ruler" although constitution and parliament still exists. Recycling is widespread in the northern regions, while coal, oil and natural gas power plants near the cities of the southern region are mostly destroyed. Alternatives such as hydroelectric dams are built in the Para region and use power lines to reach as far as Montevideo. Declares war on Paraguay, Argentina and Bolivia and invades it to help Chile. They send airstrikes and 20,000 soldiers to the Syrian front to fight against Islamic State
  • Government:
    • Temer's Proclamation: As 2017 starts, Temer officially fuses the two positions vice president and president since he has held both titles and calls himself dictator. After this was created, he proclaimed the Lustrian Commonwealth or officially the United Commonwealth of Lustria as to conform with the Lustrian Revolutionary Organization. The LRO was dismantled at March but however the idea of Lustrianism has spread by Temer's government via propaganda and speech. The ideas were to promote unification of South America, the stability, hard labour, militarist and conform to reform the local religion and Christianity into one. His plans are finalised, but would probably never be finished since the elections of 2018 will start soon for the position (if he ever won, theoretically he could abolish the 5 year election or even the term given). The reason why it was delayed for unknown reasons are not told but Temer had delayed it as suspected. The idea of an absolute monarchy was still popular among the north but has shrunk down since the dismantling of the LRO.
    • Political parties: Political parties are practically changed since the Lustrian Revolution. Temer's political party PMDB and "With the strength of the people" essentially forced by Temer himself into one huge faction called the Union of Labour (UT) to form a solid party, however some broke from the party as this is a bad decision as more may leave over the next year. Literally the party rose up but only less than a quarter would potentially break up by next year to form their own party. The Opposition's coalition remains unrelatively changed for now. Any outside factions are declining or forced to join the opposition. The upper house is now split into 90 seats, 10 each for one region.
      • The Opposition (Oposição): Led by Neves (though unpopular now thanks to propaganda) and pursues economical development since the end of the Lustrian Revolution, they make up 35% of the upper house currently and is struggling to keep their upper house seats as they do not admire Lustrianism. Some of them try to get the ideology of Lustrianism into the coalition and its parties, especially the smaller party members of the coalitions.
      • Union of Labour: The dominant party led by Temer and he is literally "EthanKoenigsberg" as of this turn. Makes up 65% of the upper house.
      • Christian Workers' Party of Brazil / The Coalition of Silva (CWPB [EN] / CS [EN]): Dislikes the name Lustria (they use the old name Brazil as legacy), is led by rebellious Rafael "Domu" da Silva (fictional, however I want to make a role) who vigorously dislikes Temer unlike the Opposition. Has no upper house seats yet but pursues to get into it and is commonly referred as the Coalition of Silva instead of it's official name in Brazil.
    • Propaganda: By now censorship of the Lustrian Revolution has being lifted after four months of temporary instability since August 2016 and websites are unblocked but some elements of it are censored by press. Mass propaganda production still continues to issue stability still by paper or website of the government by Temer, and is now leaking into television sets in Lustria, however they keep world news intact and free from censorship (except internal relations between the country). For the South American front, strong propaganda against Argentina and Bolivia was made and show the pride of unification of South America.
  • Military: Military has being increasingly becoming interventionist since 2016 and armies are reorganised to legions (100,000 men each as typical)
    • Technology: Initiates their research on railgun, starting off their concept since August 2016 but their concept is done at March 2017, but is not ready for development. In overall, navy and air technology starts to considerably improve.
      • Railgun I (LUR-I) / Project Chong / Codename: The Microwave Blaster (initial concept): As Lustria/Brazil has constantly began to replace their weapons for a more recent one, they decide to develop their own railgun. Although the concept is done at March 2017, research commences next year due to their investment extensively to the Bolivian and Argentine campaign for this year.
      • Project Lombax (2017-): This project has being publicly announced by the Lustrian research team in Sao Paulo. Concept is done but is not revealed to the public for "reasons".
      • Artillery I / Project "Dilma" (2016-): Poorly funded (but next year will change) and is led by one of the teams in Brasilia, they decide to develop another variant of a missile artillery except its missiles will be capable of reaching as 23 km and a slight modification to target enemies. This would take about two and a half years to develop a new missile, so it will miss out on the Argentine front.
    • Summary: The military forces are officially renamed to the Imperial Lustrian Forces (ILF/ELF; still googol translate is ruining me)
      • Personnel: The total of active soldiers is raised from 1,138,000 to 1,300,000 as to get a high quantity of soldiers for unite South America slowly under their hands and "overpower them" via propaganda. Reserves drop from 520,000 to simply 190,000 due to their reserves fighting and mobilising.
      • Land / Lustrian Land Forces (LLF/FTL): a
      • Navy / Classis (LC): Since Uruguay never used its navy for battle, their ships are seized and integrated into the Lustrian fleet. Navy is now a priority in case of a naval invasion by a major power for example United Kingdom, with ports in Rio de Janeiro, Santos, Montevideo, Belem, Natal, Recife, Vitoria and Porto Alegre (through that small gap of water) are now encouraged to build military ports and increase their production on ships.
        • 2 aircraft carriers (Pre-WOWW Aircraft Carrier; introduced around late 2000s), 21 frigates (Pre-WOWW Frigate; introduced around early 2010s, expect Frigate I introduced next year), 4 destroyers (Destroyer I; introduced since 2017, since Brazil possesses none), 9 corvettes (Pre-WOWW Corvette; introduced around early 2010s), 12 submarines (Pre-WOWW Submarine; expect Subarmine I to be introduced around the end of 2019), 7 minesweeper ships and 30 transport ships (Pre-WOWW Transport Ship; introduced around early 2010s)
      • Air Force / Volan (LV): The air force is increasing exponentially like the Lustrian Classis but at a slower rate. Military airports are concentrated at Amazonia, Rio Grande do Sul and Uruguay. Production of those planes are in major cities notably Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Florianopolis, Manaus, Brasilia, Curitiba, Porto Alegre and Montevideo.
        • 67 fighters (Fighter I; introduced since 2017), 49 bombers (Bomber I; introduced since 2017), 74 attack helicopters (Pre-WOWW Attack Helicopter; introduced around early 2010s and expect Attack Helicopter I introduced next year), 298 transport planes (Transport Plane I; introduced since 2017, carries 100-150 soldiers in each plane) and 100 drones/unmanned aerial vehicle (Pre-WOWW Drone; introduced around early 2010s)
  • Conflicts (Type, Location; period since declared war/intervene):
    • Uruguay (October 2016-January 2017): Annexation of Uruguay was forced as their government has collapsed. The territory of Uruguay was created out of it.
    • Islamic State (International; January 2017-): Decided that Islamic State is a hellhole, they decide to intervene like Germany, but instead of intervene using troops which they have already funded extensively at South America using airstrikes onto Libya and in the Levant, with Libya taking two airstrike attacks every week which unlike the Levant, Nubia could scrub them easily by current power but this is just "aid" and with the Levant taking three to four airstrike attacks per week. Once Argentina and Bolivia is rekt by their forces, they could fund the operation against the Islamic State more efficiently but however sends 20,000 soldiers to the Syrian front.
    • Paraguay (Subjugation, South America; February 2017-): Delaying their Guyana and Suriname subjugation, they kept their intentions of invading Paraguay because they want to help Chile after requesting help, which gave them a chance of annexing Buenos Aires and parts of Argentina and the rest of Bolivia if possible later. The army of 320,000 (4 legions) are sent to swiftly attack the weak country. Paraguay's capital Asuncion is bombed by their air forces known as the Lustrian Volan or simply and commonly Volan now and the army has swiftly occupied most of Paraguay but Asuncion and surrounding areas probably supported by Argentina due to Lustria declaring war on them, however at December, they launched an attack on Asuncion, initiating Battle of Asuncion
    • Bolivia and Argentina (Intervention, South America; June 2017): Decided to help Chile while trying to seize and annex land to unite South America slowly, they used full force for this one like Paraguay. Bolivia was invaded with 400,000 and Argentina having invaded with 570,000 troops and a whole lot of equipment. With Buenos Aires being close, it was bombed by air forces at July 2017, not to mention the Paraguay front at the north, 100,000 troops (one legion) decided to move down to aid the Lustrian legions at the eastern front. By August 2017, Buenos Aires is surrounded and besieged, however until 8th November, a battle ensues when a group of Lustrian soldiers decide to terrorise a building at the city of Buenos Aires, starting battle of Buenos Aires with no resolved winner yet but the Lustrian soldiers continue to occupy land east and south further, at least for two legions, reaching Cordoba and Bahia Blanca by the end of the year. In the Bolivian front, Santa Cruz de la Sierra gets captured at August and between September and October, heaps of their land were captured but La Paz and further west of the location. At December, there were no changes except Lustria goes deeper into Bolivia and besieges La Paz.

  • Education: As the profound imperialism grows worldwide, the Lustrian education system reforms itself. The homeschooling banning policy is abolished but the northern rural regions outlaws them still.
    • Military education: Not to be confused with the actual military training, the system decides to promote training before being conscripted or join into the military for people above 18, mostly in public universities. Most of the public universities in southern Lustria have decided to take effect due to law states it is compulsory. Males are expected to join compulsively (with some exceptions such as physical weaknesses or the university's rules state its optional for males) as "they have potential strength" but the females can choose whether to join or not to do so. These training operations last for two years for each person and can be extended if the person desires advanced training but usually it ends after two years.
    • Curriculum: Curriculum changes radically. The curriculum adds the ideology of Lustrianism by the education department as well as practical propaganda to promote labour and anti-Argentine and anti-Bolivarian propaganda is pursued and promoted due to an ongoing war against those governments.
      • Primary: Subjects for primary school include, Portuguese (they always make up 2 hours), geography (usually 1 hour), history (usually 1-2 hours), mathematics (usually 2 hours), art (usually 1 hour) and science (usually 1-2 hours) for timetables. History typically only includes the colonisation of Brazil and beyond but rarely can include South American countries or the US. There is no reason why mathematics, history and science are a priority but experts from foreign countries state it could be related to researching military technology.
      • Secondary: Core curriculum includes Portuguese, history (upper secondary splits history into Brazil, Old World and New World [excl. Brazil]), geography, economics, politics, science (upper secondary splits science into biology, physics, chemistry and astrology), mathematics and fundamentalism (merge of philosophy and sociology but that word fundamentalism is misleading). Foreign languages such as French and Latin are optional but Spanish and English is finalised in the curriculum as compulsory at secondary schools.
    • Schedule and System: School hours are changed to 0800 to 1700 with a break in lunch starting at 1130 and ending at 1230, it also covers Saturdays and Sundays. Overall this results a nine hour period with each class taking at least 60 minutes each, meaning nine sessions are in overall exist per day. Four levels of education now exists, primary (or child education) now is between 6 to 12, lower secondary between 12 to 15 and upper secondary between 15 to 18. The first three levels are compulsory similar to Australia and some countries have for primary and lower secondary or simply secondary whole. School years are now usually at a duration of between late February to early December. Easter holidays last for only one week for this.
  • Demographics: Population grew from 211.983 million to 229.129 million this year. Life expectancy is now 76.39 as of December 2017, with males getting 73.22 and females getting 79.56. Fertility rate goes up again since 2017, now 2.02 from 1.89 as law states that there should be more issues given and relocation to rural areas would give them a chance to start a new life instead of cramping it into a major city.
    • Religion: Islam is now slowly becoming no longer accepted mostly in rural areas after previous events, although they only have very few people living in Brazil so it shouldn't be a problem for now and Pastafarianism is now morally accepted by government but their development growth slows down.
    • Culture: In 2016, most of Brazil (now Lustria) is mixed, including diversity of Asians, Africans and Europeans. However for the Arabs, they are practically declining due to acceptance increasingly declining in urban areas, mostly due to Islamic State recently but the government decides to protect them but no refugees from the Middle East and Afghanistan will be accepted, especially with Syria if they were to come here but it's useless but that law was made due to extremism.
  • Economy: GDP improves from $17,140 (using PPP) to $18,250. Businesses grow and telecommunications is spreading further into rural lands as propaganda ensues the promotion of the Internet and economy as well as agriculture and military industry. Forestry declines in Amazonas but to new laws in place by the local government but Para's forestry grows further.
  • Diplomacy: They do not want alliances yet.
    • Spain: Embargoes them and put a lot of sanctions into them. Declares them hostile.
    • Morocco: Supports them with money and weapons at low priority and helps them by sending 10,000 troops into the battle at Western Sahara.
    • Chile: Declares support with money and weapons as well as declaring war on Bolivia and Argentina. A secret message is sent to them, suggesting if they were to join Lustria at a quick vote on Santiago at the parliament either after war or right now if needed and if it is successful, a huge autonomy is granted with equal rights and seats in the upper house (note this message is to Chile)
    • Colombia: Warns not to invade on Peru, however due to an ongoing war with Bolivia and Argentina, they decide to spare them for now but suggest not to invade them. (This player may be inactive but in case he is active, I'm just going to put this warning onto him until he is kicked out)
    • Balkania: Aligns them to unsuitable to contact
    • Russia/Eurasian Union (as the Thunderskis call it): Aligns them to hostile. No sanctions are made yet.
    • Islamic Caliphate: *hilariously laughs at name*. Lustria treats Islamic Caliphate as two nations, Turkey and Arabia.
      • Turkey: Embargo and shitload of sanctions are in place. Declares them as hostile
      • Arabia: Does not do anything for them, but they want to wait for the next few hours for Arabia's reaction on the embargo and denouncement. Sends a message to suggest dismantling the Islamic Caliphate / Middle Eastern Union with Turkey.

Ethiopia

  • Government: Efforts for more parity between men and women are made, and a new constitution is made. It reflects on Western laws, and an effort to become more westernized is made.
    • Laws: The Addis Acts are made, a group of laws designed to make quality of living for immagrants better. As a result, skilled workers from Somalia  and Eritrea come to Ethiopia looking for jobs. For a brief period of time, some taxes are exempt. 20,000 immigrants have come over the last three months.
  • Economy: Ethiopia is still a poor nation, but is is growing rapidly. So far, the economy has increases by about two billion USD. Ethiopia hopes to cut financial support by 80% in 2020. We also lower taxes on businesses so they can invest in our growing economy. Another goal is to get the GDP per capita to increase to $3,000 by 2019.
  • Military: We are investing in modern equipment such as the latest tanks and airplanes. We also distribute grants to people who fight in the army. We hope that Ethiopia will have more influence in Africa and trading.
    • Wars: After a terrorist attack that kills 4000 people hits, Al Shabbab claims to have done this. Ethiopia declares war on Somalia to get rid of the terrorists, and not to mention get some land too. Eritrea also plans to attack, but we attack them first. Somalia is falling quick due to high instability, but it is a stalemate between us and Eritrea.
  • Diplomacy:
    • Nubian Empire: We ask for a peace where neither of us attack each other. We offer them 500 million and a few of our tanks and planes for this.
    • South Africa: Same as before with Nubia.

Southasian Confederation[Indonesia]:

Government: We are reforming system, banning any kind of prostitution, or anything like that.

Economy: Greatly increases, due to allying and uniting with many countries.

Austro-Hungary:

  • Diplomacy:
    • Germany: Relations are improving, like usual. Austria-Hungary also asks for their co-operation on Operation Scharf.
    • Balkania: An alliance is made, and plans to take over the Balkans are made in secret. Balkania is also guaranteed independence by the Austro-Hungarians.
    • Russia: Relations are slightly improved.
    • Oceanian Commonwealth: They are guaranteed independence and an alliance is made.
    • Turkish MEU: Heavy embargoes and sanctions are put on the Turkish part of the Middle Eastern Union.
  • Government:
    • Designated Smoking Areas: More DSAs are put up in Budapest, Deprecen, and Vienna.
    • New Laws: Government officials impose a larger tax on alcohol in order to prevent more people from buying too much. The new tax is 12%, 2% more than the current lowered sales tax for all items.
  • Warfare & Military:
    • Military Power: With the recent integration of Hungary, the new army totals around 130,000 troops, both reserve and frontline. Although recent propaganda put up by the government makes the true army power around 160,000 troops. 55,000 reserve, 105,000 active.
    • Operation Slowakei: Op. Slowakei commences, and Slovakia is invaded with a force of 65,000 Austrian and Hungarian troops. Bratislava is swiftly taken due to it's close vicinity to the border of Austria. 45,000 troops were used to invade Bratislava, while the other 20,000 were used to invade Kosice, on the border of Hungary. Overall, the Austro-Hungarians lose only 9,300 troops at Bratislava and Kosice combined.
    • Operation Scharf: Major military leaders of Austro-Hungary convince the government to announce Scharf, the invasion of two particular nations.
    • Austro-Hungarian War for Resources: Seeing that oil is becoming a dwindling resource, due to the Islamic Caliphate controlling almost all of the world's oil supply, government officials send the remaining 40,000 troops not active in Operation Slowakei to Equatorial Guinea and Gabon through their brand new sea access after taking Friuli Venezia Giulia from Italy. 20,000 are divided between each country. Equatorial Guinea is fully occupied by the end of the year, because of the small military and the Cold War era technology. Although, in Gabon, 10,000 troops are split between Libreville and Port Gentil. It's also relatively tougher to invade due to the slightly more advanced technology , as well as their vaguely larger army (than Equatorial Guinea's). So far, in Gabon, only Libreville and surrounding areas, as well as Port Gentil are occupied.
  • Economy: Austro-Hungary adopts the Schilling, despite it not being Austria-Hungary's currency during WWI. GDP increases from 672 billion schillings to 684.4 billion schillings. Unemployment rate has lowered slightly as well, due to the new Austro-Hungarian based gaming company called Chronobyte Studios, in Graz.
  • Demographics:
    • Integration of South Tyrol and Friuli Venezia Giulia: As Italy gave Austria both South Tyrol and FVG, Austria now needs to incorporate one German, Italian, and Ladin province, as well as one mainly Italian province into its land. While there is unrest at first from the non-ethnic German, it is eventually settled by November 15.

Middle Eastern Union / Islamic Caliphate [ Turkey ]

Government: With the rise of the caliphate government there is s caliph which is more of a figure head then a real leader but the nation is govern mentally separated from North [ Arabia ] and South [ Turkey ]. Both parts have there own internal policy but both will have to agree on foreign policy. The government has stayed similar to the old government but has given power to the people but not that much. A new election has been made in Turkey and one of Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu friends has own the election.

Economy: The economy has grown exponentially because of the union with Saudi Arabia and have more diplomatic options then previously. The GDP has increased from 798.43 mil to 942.19 mil and per capita gdp has increased even more from 8871.91 mil to 1.13 bil. Turkey plans to continue to flood in debt but is paying the old wins and is trying to slowly pay a percentage more.

Education: Turkey has revamped the education system. All the changes to the lessons and has lower the number and difficulties of the test has made the school season to high school only 12 to 14 years depending on your needs. But collage has been expanded to make up for the lost years. Although you can start school later in your life.

1. Nubian Empire: We offer alliance [details in comments]

2. Syria and Lebanon: We declare war.

3. Persia: We try to improve relations and ask for the ability to have a road through Iraq that we can use.

4. Armenia/Russia: Turkey accept the Armenian genocide and instead of giving the small amount of land thinning out at Van [City] they give it to a new government and the new nation is called Kars.

5. Pakistan: We offer an alliance.

6. Syria: We promise you Syria in return we make alliance

War:

  • War with Lebanon: Our troops form a blockade of Lebanon in January. Then we land in Beirut and tyre so take Sidon and Barja. We launch Operation Liberation which intakes invading and occupying South Lebanon the operation is huge success. Meanwhile there was a landing in Tripoli, Byblos, and Jounieh we capture the cites and most of the coast. [Tripoli in Lebanon for you Chris]
  • War with Syria: We Blockade the ports and land in Latakia soon the entire province is taken over by 1.3 million troops. Then a flood of Kurds regiments rebels and civilians poor into Syria and go all the way down to Palmyra with ISIS soldiers seeing the huge force and retreating to Iraq were they have a better chance. At the end of the year both army groups meet at Aleppo to finish the year off with a HUGE victory. The Kurdish force is over 3.3 million Trained Kurdish troops / Armed civilian / Kurdish rebel groups loyal to IC slightly over half are armed civilians.

Military: The military has been split into two parts the Kurdish Armies and the Turkish Armies. The Kurdish /army is the army for the Kurdish section of Turkey which is fastly increasing with the war in Syria hopefully coming to an end. And then the normal Turkish army. Note: Kurdistan has become a heavily autonomous region of the IC.

Republic of the Philippines

  • Summary: A coup topples the government and a new Benevolent Dictator is declared. Her name is Rubena Miela Tondra Juvela. The economy remains stable. Relations are improved with Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, China, and Australia. Military spending is greatly reduced.
  • Government: Rubena Miela Tondra Juvela greatly reforms the Philippines. Food Production, Public Transport, scientific research and most big Filipino companies are now controlled by the government. Money is poured into Public Transport, Social Welfare, and Education. The people are given many civil rights, as most drugs are legalised, and all marriage is legal. All meat production is banned, and destruction of the Wildlife ceases.
    • Politics: The country switches to a one-party system. This means that Rubena can implement her lasting policies.
    • Research: Scientific facilities are now government controlled, and are all focused on making the country as green as possible.
      • Ambiente City: Plans for a new city are released by Filipino officials. Designed by renowned Architects Tom Wright, Zaha Hadid, Winy Maas, William Pedersen, Thomas Heatherwick, and Terry Farell, the city will be the biggest renewable city in the world. The name originates from the Spanish name for the environment. The city will have many notable features, including Elon Musk’s Hyperloop, Floating Farms, Sustainable Housing, a Solar Mansion for our glorious Supreme Leader Rudena Juvela, a Wind Tower, and hundreds of Vertical Farms around the city.
        • Elon Musk’s Hyperloop: The Hyperloop is essentially a futuristic train that Musk calls "a cross between a Concorde, a railgun and an air hockey table". It's based on the very high speed transit (VHST) system proposed in 1972 which combines a magnetic levitation train and a low pressure transit tube. It evolves some of the original ideas of VHST, but still uses tunnels and pods or capsules to move from place to place. Musk has likened it to a vacuum tube system in a building used to move documents from place to place. It’s powered by Solar Panels along the length of the roof of the entire system. It powers itself.
        • Floating Farms: Sustainable farms floating in water. Fueled by solar power, wind, and biofuels, the barge, which was built in 2007, has zero net carbon emissions. Vegetables are grown hydroponically—with plants getting all of their necessary nutrients from water instead of soil—in an effort to preserve natural resources and adapt to urban environments, where healthy soil, or soil at all, is hard to come by. Rainwater and treated river water are used for irrigation, and pesticides are prohibited.
        • Sustainable Housing: a
        • Solar Mansion: a
        • Wind Tower: a
        • Vertical Farms: a
  • Demographics: Major reforms and changes occur.
    • Education: Education undergoes major reforms.
      • Students engage via Project-based Learning: Students go beyond the textbook to study complex topics based on real-world issues, such as the water quality in their communities or the history of their town, analyzing information from multiple sources, including the Internet and interviews with experts. Project-based classwork is more demanding than traditional book-based instruction, where students may just memorize facts from a single source. Instead, students utilize original documents and data, mastering principles covered in traditional courses but learning them in more meaningful ways. Projects can last weeks; multiple projects can cover entire courses. Student work is presented to audiences beyond the teacher, including parents and community groups.
      • Students connect via Integrated Studies: Studies should enable students to reach across traditional disciplines and explore their relationships. History, literature, and art can be interwoven and studied together. Integrated studies enable subjects to be investigated using many forms of knowledge and expression, as literacy skills are expanded beyond the traditional focus on words and numbers to include graphics, color, music, and motion.
      • Students share via Cooperative Learning: Working together on project teams and guided by trained teachers, students learn the skills of collaborating, managing emotions, and resolving conflicts in groups. Each member of the team is responsible for learning the subject matter as well as helping teammates to learn. Cooperative learning develops social and emotional skills, providing a valuable foundation for their lives as workers, family members, and citizens.
      • Students expand via Comprehensive Assessments: Assessment should be expanded beyond simple test scores to instead provide a detailed, continuous profile of student strengths and weaknesses. Teachers, parents, and individual students can closely monitor academic progress and use the assessment to focus on areas that need improvement. Tests should be an opportunity for students to learn from their mistakes, retake the test, and improve their scores.
      • Teachers coach via becoming Intellectual and Emotional Guides: The most important role for teachers is to coach and guide students through the learning process, giving special attention to nurturing a student's interests and self-confidence. As technology provides more curricula, teachers can spend less time lecturing entire classes and more time mentoring students as individuals and tutoring them in areas in which they need help or seek additional challenges.
      • Teachers learn via Teaching as Apprenticeship: Preparation for a teaching career should follow the model of apprenticeships, in which novices learn from experienced masters. Student teachers should spend less time in lecture halls learning educational theory and more time in classrooms, working directly with students and master teachers. Teaching skills should be continually sharpened, with time to take courses, attend conferences, and share lessons and tips with other teachers, online and in person.
      • Schools adopt Technology: The intelligent use of technology can transform and improve almost every aspect of school, modernizing the nature of curriculum, student assignments, parental connections, and administration. Online curricula now include lesson plans, simulations, and demonstrations for classroom use and review. With online connections, students can share their work and communicate more productively and creatively. Teachers can maintain records and assessments using software tools and stay in close touch with students and families via email and voicemail. Schools can reduce administrative costs by using technology tools, as other fields have done, and provide more funds for the classroom.
      • Schools reorganize resources: Resources of time, money, and facilities must be restructured. The school day should allow for more in-depth project work beyond the 45-minute period, including block scheduling of classes two hours or longer. Schools should not close for a three-month summer vacation, but should remain open for student activities, teacher development, and community use. Through the practice of looping, elementary school teachers stay with a class for two or more years, deepening their relationships with students. More money in school districts should be directed to the classroom rather than the bureaucracy. New school construction and renovation should emphasize school design that supports students and teachers collaborating in teams, with pervasive access to technology. Schools can be redesigned to also serve as community centers that provide health and social services for families, as well as counseling and parenting classes.
      • Communities involve Parents: When schoolwork involves parents, students learn more. Parents and other caregivers are a child's first teachers and can instill values that encourage school learning. Schools should build strong alliances with parents and welcome their active participation in the classroom. Educators should inform parents of the school's educational goals, the importance of high expectations for each child, and ways of assisting with homework and classroom lessons.
      • Communities include Community Partners: Partnerships with a wide range of community organizations, including business, higher education, museums, and government agencies, provide critically needed materials, technology, and experiences for students and teachers. These groups expose students and teachers to the world of work through school-to-career programs and internships. Schools should enlist professionals to act as instructors and mentors for students.

Minority religions include Buddhism, Hinduism, and Judaism. Orthodox Christians also live in Philippines. Protestant Christianity arrived in the Philippines during the 20th century, introduced by American missionaries. Other religions include Judaism, Mahayana Buddhism, often mixed with Taoist beliefs, Hinduism, and Sikhism. Animism and Paganism are also followed.
